August Events in Vancouver 2026
In our house, we used to think of August as the Sunday of the summer when festivities start to wind down and we prepare for that Monday after Labour Day in September. However, this year there’s still plenty of summer left along with a variety of events happening around Metro Vancouver.
This month Miss604 sponsors FREE Burnaby Summer Stages on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays (until August 27) in Confederation Park; FREE Burnaby Summer Cinema (Fridays in August); and the FREE Port Day at Canada Place (August 29). I’m also co-hosting a Free Walking Tour of Granville Island (August 16). Find these events and many more fun things to do around Vancouver in this month’s calendar:
