Free Robson Square Summer Dance Series
Each summer, music echoes through the heart of downtown Vancouver as Robson Square’s ice rink transforms into an open-air dance floor for free Friday night ballroom dancing.
Free Robson Square Summer Dance Series
- Dates: Fridays until September 4, 2026 from 7:00pm to 10:30pm
- Location: Robson Square Ice Rink under Robson Square at 800 Robson St in Vancouver
- Admission: Free
No experience necessary and you don’t even need to bring a partner. Every Friday night at 7:00pm the evening begins with a free beginner-friendly dance lesson. After the lesson there is a performance from a local dance troupe at 8:00pm. Following that, the floor opens up for a lively social dance session until 10:30pm.

For over 40 years, Robson Square has been the heart of Friday night ballroom dancing, drawing in hundreds of attendees each week. It’s a great way to get active, meet new people, and experience Vancouver’s vibrant arts scene. There are also volunteer opportunities available, contact DanceSportBC for details.
