BC Place is set to host Vancouver’s largest licensed outdoor patio at Terry Fox Plaza on long weekends this summer with a capacity for over 1,000 guests.

Entry to the pop-up patio on Terry Fox Plaza is free and on a first-come, first-served basis.
Canada Day long weekend: June 28th to July 1st from 12:00pm to 8:00pm
Ahead of the Whitecaps Indigenous Peoples Celebration Match on June 29th visit the artisan market and enjoy performances from Land Back Records artists including Hayley Wallis.

The Patio will have food offerings from five different stations, and a variety of limited edition menu items at great value, distinct from the existing BC Place menu. Visit the build-your-own Ceasar Bar, the Oh Canada Smoked Brisket Sandwich, Tempura Maple Gelato, and Indigenous dishes, including a Salmon Bannock Burger, a Bison Slider and Candied Salmon, created in collaboration with Chef Andrew George.
A live entertainment stage showcasing music from local talents including Marie Hui, DJ Christina Sing, Antonio Larosa, NaRai Dawn, and more. Enjoy lawn games, and enter to win tickets to The Rolling Stones Hackney Diamonds tour at BC Place on July 5, 2024.

Foodie Friday – Father’s Day in Vancouver, Collabs, and New Menus
The 22nd annual Vancouver Chinatown Festival, organized by the Vancouver Chinatown BIA Society, is a free 2-day community family event happening this July.

Enjoy live performances, cultural dances, orchestras, tap dancing, taiko drumming, and more on several stages.
Join A Wok Around Chinatownwith Bob Sung, play mahjong, take part in lantern-making and Chinese fan-making workshops. The newly created Children’s Theatre at the Kids Zone has confirmed acts that include: Fluffy & Friends, a group dedicated to breaking down barriers while spreading lion joy through dance, storytelling, and interactive performances; sing-alongs with fairytale characters; superhero training sessions; Magic by Blake Aleong; and meet-and-greets with Vancouver Chinatown Festival mascot, VanVan the panda. Other children activities include face painting, balloon twisting, t-shirt painting, MiniMakers, and various outdoor games.
The artisans market will be highlighted along Keefer Street, featuring a variety of over twenty talented local makers and food vendors. Confirmed businesses so far include West Coast Bannock, Japanese donuts by Mochido, artist DOODLESBYNAOMI, Mosaic Motif Handmade Jewelry, candles by Ollie & Co., healthy food snacks company OATME Superfood, Ember Hong Kong Barbeque, dumplings by Jingle Bao, and Steve’s Smoked Meats.
Come hungry to enjoy cuisine from around the world at local eateries and several food trucks will be stationed by the main stage at Keefer Street and Columbia, including It’s All About Grill, Juicy Green Express Inc., Kona Ice of Chilliwack, MJ’s Caribbean Cuisine, Munchu Picchu, Roasted Revolution, Slothfuls, Taco Tigre, Taco Nori, Takenaka, and The Great Canadian Cotton Candy Company.
Spend the weekend in Chinatown and savour this historic neighbourhood and all of its unique shops, restaurants, and offerings.

Good music and good times for a great cause! The Foodstock Food Bank Fundraiser Festival features live performances from Yukon Blonde and The Matinee, food trucks, and local craft beverages at Swangard Stadium – and you can enter to win tickets!

This is a 19+ event. All attendees will be required to show appropriate identification before accessing the venue.
The full entertainment lineup includes Yukon Blonde and The Matinee with support from the winners of the Foodstock at Night: A Battle of the Bands Fundraiser which was held at the Cobalt earlier this spring. Battle of the Band winners Mivule, a Reggae, Afrobeat and Dub band, The Hausplants, an indie punk band, and the fan favourite winner, Suppertime, a mix of classic rock, punk, indie and psychedelia, will open the stage.
The field will be filled with games and you can also shop local at the marketplace featuring A Healthy Beginning, Burnaby Art Gallery, Liberum Studio, Shoebox Art, The Candy Curio, Euonoia Naturale, The Not So Early Bird, Hail Claytan, Rach Crochets, Iron Mountain Ventures, MAGS and KRU and INK Temporary Tattoos.
Beverage Boulevard, sponsored by Zipby, will feature Luppolo Brewing Company, Dageraad Brewing, Parallel 49 Brewing, Main Street Beer, Kits Beach Beer and Pacific Breeze Winery. Food trucks include Ay! Mamacita, Food Daddy, Chickpea, and Munchu Picchu.
50% of beer sales, 10% of marketplace sales, and 10% of food truck sales will be donated to support the Greater Vancouver Food Bank and their clients.

he GVFB is a non-profit organization with a mission to provide healthy food to those in need. The GVFB provides assistance to over 16,000 people each month through direct distribution in Vancouver, Burnaby, New Westminster and the North Shore. 28% of their clients are children, and 15% are seniors. The GVFB also provides food support to 130+ community agencies throughout these communities, such as housing agencies, women and children’s shelters, transition houses and after-school programs, which in turn provide meals and snacks to thousands of people each week.
