New Look of Miss604.com Thanks to Raincity Studios
byI (heart) Raincity. I do, it’s true. I’m a closet wannabe Raincity girl (since I can no longer be a Bryght Girl). They do amazing work, they preach Drupalese to the masses and their folks have helped put Vancouver on the map in terms of being a tech hub in this country. What have they done for me lately though? Well, you may notice something new on the site…
I’ve been working with Hubert to create the new banner and logo over the last few months, as he was kind enough to take on my project. Another big thanks goes to Robert Scales, who is now over in China setting up Raincity Shanghai. This group of individuals has pretty much given me the rockstar treatment even while they were in the middle of a merge and a redesign of their own site – not to mention continuing to do business for all of their other valued clients.
Watch for Miss604 Merch Coming Soon:
So, here it is, with lots of potential for merchandising and sticker dispensing at your next local social media event. Leave me a comment, let me know what you think, and none of this would be possible without the super great staff at Raincity Studios Vancouver.

I’ll buy a t-shirt. Love the new look.
Congrats! Looks great! 🙂
Looks great Rebecca. The Scales Team have done a super job.
Very hot!!
Nice look, congrats!
Very nice! Now you’ll have to get some Moo cards for NV with the new logo!
I love it, I love it, I love it!
It’s so fabulous and so you.
My sweater kittens would be proud to promote my darling Rebecca.
On this locked-down stock public terminal running IE6 and XP, your navigation links overlap with your first headline. Otherwise, looks fabulous, and I’m sure it operates correctly on Firefox, Safari, and other proper browsers.
How’s it look now Derek? NetRenderer isn’t working for me so I can’t check on it 🙁
It’s so cool how they absolutely got your eyes. The skyline in the background is also a nice touch. A brand is reborn. 🙂
“My sweater kittens would be proud to promote my darling Rebecca”
Um. *gasps, chokes, struggles for breath* Sweet jesus, sweater kittens 😛
And, you probably want to swap out your favicon.
Cheers to your fantastic site Rebecca! Raincity Studios is pleased to play a (tiny) part in helping you craft your blog into a compelling community of it own. Thanks for all you do for Techcouver (and Surrey ;-)).
[…] I just want to take a quick moment to congratulate my dear friend Rebecca (who celebrates something special tomorrow) on this morning’s launch of her newly re-designed blog. The gorgeous new graphics are the perfect compliment to a blog that’s just as colourful in its own right. Head on over there to check it out. […]

(You’ll always be a Bryght Girl, Rebecca.)
i prefer the photographic representation of you in general, but this is an awesome mark to stick on shirts and merch and stuff. go bexxx! 😉
Oh looking good. Though the top navigation links are a bit hard to see against part of your new header. Also running Firefox the header is on top of your link to the previous post. Well it covers half of it up.
🙂
Tyler – yeah I’m going the CSS myself hence the totally non-smooth switch over 😛
Looks good.. Congrats.. Don’t forget us little people on the upcoming wing night! Kasia might come too.
Love the new look! Congrats!!
Adorable!
Great new look, Miss604. Classy all the way.
Cute! That logo will make some great stickers.
Love the new logo, love the new image and love the nomination! Finally could find the link, as you indicated. My own blog isn’t going anywhere right now… six weeks in Mexico will do that to you! There are a few pretty pictures here and there, but not a lot of substance yet. Give me a few days and I’ll be back at it 😉
Congratulations on everything good that’s happening to you now! 😀 and if you’re at the end of the month Vancouver meetup, I’ll be there!
Clean look and feel, and captures the essence of who you are, what you’re to do in the blog, and, uh yeah, the backdrop that is Funcouver …
Niiiiice.
