Plan Your Summer at These Vancouver Festivals

There are so many events happening around Metro Vancouver this summer it’s hard to only feature a few, but we’ve done our best to showcase a variety of festivals with incredibly cool culture, food, and music elements.

These summer festivals are in order by date, they take place between Vancouver and Mission, some are ticketed, and some are free. Whatever you’re looking for, bookmark this list and check back often to plan your amazing summer activities in the 604!

Summer Festivals in Metro Vancouver Miss604

Car Free Day Surrey

  • When: Saturday, June 6, 2026
  • Where: 137 Street between 72A & 74 Ave, Surrey
  • Admission: Free
  • Details:  Featuring stages, vendors, and family-friendly activities, the occasion highlights active transportation, supports local businesses, and ensures a car-free environment. This free block party will showcase businesses along the street with expanded patios and booths and various activities for everyone to enjoy.

Barns to Beaches in Delta

  • When: Saturday, June 20, 2026 ride at 10:00am, festival 2:00pm to 9:00pm
  • Where: Southlands Red Barn (6333 Market Ave, Delta)
  • Admission: Admission to both the ride and the concert is free, but advance registration is required.
  • Details: Centered at Southlands Red Barn in Tsawwassen, the festival celebrates the newly established Barns to Beaches bike route that showcases some of Delta’s most scenic landscapes and connects Tsawwassen to Ladner along shoreline paths, dikes and pastoral backroads. The festival runs from 2:00pm to 9:00pm, and includes headliners 54-40, and emerging local acts Emmett JeromeSpendoHoneybear, the Band and additional local performers. 

Canada Together at Canada Place

  • When: July 1, 2026
  • Where: Canada Place
  • Admission: Free
  • Details: 2026 will mark marked the 40th anniversary of the annual event at Canada Place, which has historically been the largest Canada Day celebration outside of Ottawa. It is also the fifth year since the event debuted as Canada TogetherCanada Together is planned collaboratively with representatives from the Musqueam, Squamish, and Tsleil-Waututh Nations. From programming to the name and theme itself, the details of the day are carefully considered to create a welcoming experience for all people who live in this country.

Indian Summer Festival

  • When: July 9-19, 2026
  • Where: Various Locations across Vancouver
  • Admission: Free and ticketed events
  • Details: Indian Summer Festival is dedicated to the exceptional creativity of South Asian arts and artists. Through their programming, they push boundaries and merge worlds. Their approach to programming is unique and embraces the complex diversity of South Asian voices and cultures.

Khatsahlano Street Party

  • When: July 11, 2026
  • Where: West 4th Avenue in Kitsilano, Vancouver
  • Admission: Free
  • Details: Transforming West 4th Avenue into a fantastical playground of music, art, food, shopping, and community magic.

Caribbean Days Festival

  • When: July 25-26, 2026
  • Where: Town Centre Park (1299 Pinetree Way, Coquitlam)
  • Admission: Free.
  • Details: Each year, the festival kicks off with the sights and sounds of Carnival during a Parade In The Park and hosts two days of music, dancing, and amazing food.

Carnaval Del Sol

  • When: July 10-12, 2026
  • Where: Jonathan Rogers Park (110 W 7th Ave, Vancouver)
  • Admission: Ticketed
  • Details: Carnaval del Sol is the largest Latin American festival in the Pacific Northwest, showcasing the rich cultures, traditions, and cuisines of Latin America.

Vancouver Chinatown Festival

  • When: 2026 TBD (usually second weekend of July)
  • Where: Keefer and Columbia St, Vancouver
  • Admission: Free
  • Details: A two-day street festival that celebrates the diversity of the community and showcasedsChinatown as an inclusive, sustainable, and resilient neighbourhood.

Taiwanese Canadian Cultural Festival in Surrey

  • When: 2026 TBD
  • Where: Surrey City Hall (13450 104 Ave, Surrey)
  • Admission: Exhibitions & Workshops have been free in the past. Concert Passes $5.
  • Details: More details to come.

Vancouver Folk Music Festival

  • When: July 17 -19, 2026
  • Where: Jericho Beach Park (3941 Point Grey Rd, Vancouver)
  • Admission: Weekend passes and daily tickets
  • Details: 35 incredible artists and groups from across Canada, North America, and around the world will take to the stage in this beautiful setting.

Surrey Fusion Festival

  • When: July 19-20, 2026
  • Where: Holland Park (13428 Old Yale Rd, Surrey)
  • Admission: Free
  • Details: This award-wininng festival is the ultimate celebration of food, music and culture with hundreds of community booths and cultural food kiosks.

Fort Langley Jazz Arts Festival

  • When: July 23-26, 2026
  • Where: Fort Community Park, Fort Langley
  • Admission: Free and ticketed events
  • Details: World-class headline concerts and family-friendly performances to hands-on art workshops and Indigenous cultural showcases.

Mission Folk Music Festival

  • When: July 23-26, 2026
  • Where: Fraser River Heritage Park (7494 Mary St, Mission)
  • Admission: Tickets are available for purchase online
  • Details: A family-friendly celebration of music, art, and community with dozens of artists in the lineup.

Harmony Arts Festival

  • When: July 31-August 9, 2026
  • Where: Millennium Park (1564 Argyle Ave, West Vancouver)
  • Admission: Free and ticketed events

Powell Street Festival

  • When: 2026 TBA (usually first weekend in August)
  • Where: Oppenheimer Park (Powell Street Area)
  • Admission: Free
  • Details: The largest Japanese Canadian summer festival in Vancouver.

White Rock Sea Festival & Semiahmoo Days

  • When: 2026 TBA (usually first weekend in August)
  • Where: Memorial Park, East Beach & Semiahmoo Park
  • Admission: Free
  • Details: The City of White Rock and Semiahmoo First Nation welcome the community back for an unforgettable weekend of sun, surf, and celebration at the waterfront.

Davie Village Pride Festival

  • When: 2026 TBA (usually late July/early August)
  • Where: Davie Street (from Burrard to Jarvis) and Nelson Park, Vancouver
  • Admission: Free
  • Details: TBA

KitsFest

  • When: August 6-9, 2026
  • Where: Kitsilano Beach, Vancouver
  • Admission: Free
  • Details: Vancouver’s premier active living, healthy lifestyle beach festival.

Burnaby Blues + Roots Festival

  • When: August 8, 2026
  • Where: Deer Lake Park Festival Lawn (6450 Deer Lake Ave, Burnaby)
  • Admission: Free
  • Details: Offering world-class concerts, an inclusive, family-friendly environment with some of the region’s most popular food trucks, a beer garden and more. 

BC Dumpling Festival

  • When: August 15, 2026
  • Where: Town Centre Park, Coquitlam
  • Admission: Free
  • Details: This festival is a celebration of the diverse community we live in and brings together families, friends, neighbours, community organizations and businesses from different cultures to share food, entertainment and laughter.

African Descent Festival

  • When: August 22-23, 2026
  • Where: English Bay Beach
  • Admission: Free
  • Details: A leading arts and cultural festival promoting the arts, culture and heritage of those of African descent in Vancouver, British Columbia and Canada. 

Richmond Maritime Festival

  • When: August 22-23, 2026
  • Where: Britannia Shipyards National Historic Site (5180 Westwater Dr, Richmond)
  • Admission: Free
  • Details: Enjoy a vibrant program of free live music, maritime-themed kids activities, a display of beautifully restored wooden boats and ships, and much more.

Port Day at Canada Place

  • When: August 29, 2026
  • Where: Canada Place, Vancouver
  • Admission: Free
  • Details: This sea-sational annual event celebrates our local maritime industry with live music and performances, interactive exhibits, marine demonstrations, vessel simulators, and multiple activity zones including a Maritime Career Zone, Waterfront Community Zone, and Explore Zone, packed with sea-worthy fun for all ages. 

Barnside Harvest Festival

  • When: September 11-13, 2026
  • Where: Paterson Park (5800 Clarence Taylor Crescent, Delta)
  • Admission: Tickets are available for purchase online
  • Details: Barnside Harvest Festival in Lander has announced its lineup that includes headliners Smash Mouth, Tom Cochrane, Big Wreck, Marianas Trench, Kim Mitchell, and JJ Wilde.

North Shore Kids Fest

  • When: September 13, 2026
  • Where: 125 Victory Ship Way, North Vancouver
  • Admission: Free to attend
  • Details: Enjoy live music, dance, and theatre on two stages, including a special spotlight for our Rising Stars along with a kids market and interactive activities.
