Triple Your Support for Vulnerable Youth in Vancouver
Covenant House Vancouver Is Working to Meet the Needs of Vulnerable Youth
Every night in Metro Vancouver, 500–1,000 young people don’t have a place to sleep. Vulnerable and at-risk youth face many barriers, as they navigate support systems that are designed for adults.
As winter approaches, the temperatures are dropping, precipitation is on the rise, and vulnerable youth, once again, face the challenges that winter brings.
Over the last two years, Covenant House Vancouver has substantially expanded its programs to better serve more youth, as the need has never been higher in the community. Covenant House Vancouver has added 54 beds to their programs and increased the days that the Drop-In Centre is open, from five to seven days a week.
Along with these increases, is the increase in demand for services, meals, mental health care, and other supports. Now, more than ever, Covenant House Vancouver needs the community’s help to maintain their support of at-risk and vulnerable youth.
You Can Help Homeless Youth
Covenant House Vancouver’s Triple Match Campaign is on now. Donate today and triple your impact, thanks to the generous support of Scotiabank and the Trottier Family Foundation, who will match every dollar up to $150,000!
The $50,000 matching gift from Scotiabank and the $100,000 matching gift from the Trottier Family Foundation means that your gift will go even further in providing a safe, supportive environment, where youth in crisis can heal, grow, and change the course of their lives.
Your support helps young people, like Reem, who went from being the primary caregiver of her younger siblings, at only age 10, to someone who went back to school and is now working as a legal support assistant, with the dream of working in immigration law or healthcare to make these systems more accessible to the people who need them.
Or a young person like Dylan, who went from poverty, starvation, exposure to violence, and time in foster care to working, living independently, and writing a book of his poetry.
And Alex, who shared his story of abuse, poverty, and mental health challenges. Thanks to your support, Alex is now thriving.
When you donate to Covenant House Vancouver, you are letting young people know that they are seen, that they matter, and that people care.
Support Covenant House Vancouver today and triple your impact.
