Any delta hotel I have stayed in has always been amazing. Would love to get a mini-vacation!
The Delta in Calgary South has a water slide! It’s also not too far from Calgary Stampede and the zoo 🙂
I would love a two night stay in a Delta hotel!
I love staying at the Delta hotels – they’ve got great service!
Don’t know if I should be saying anything, but the few times I have stayed at the Delta in Victoria, it has been the best experience. Very friendly and thoughtful. I love that they had a special counter for kids to check in and receive a gift pack of activities, and also that they had, every evening by the big fireplace, storytime with milk and cookies.
I hope to stay there again soon.
Thanks for the comments everyone. However, you can leave a comment about any community in which there is a Delta so something about Burnaby, Calgary, Ottawa or Charlottetown (etc.) would be great.
There is a Delta Hotel at The Vancouver Airport!
I pass by the Delta Vancouver Airport hotel often and I recently attended an event there. The staff were wonderful and the hotel was in a great location. I would love to win this prize!
When I think of Delta hotels, many come to mind that I have seen in different towns. Whistler: a bustling tourist town that is one of my favourite places to visit in the summer, Victoria: walking along the waterfront, watching the horse drawn carriages pass by and the parliament buildings in the background.
A 2 night stay at any Canadian Delta would be wonderful 🙂
Vancouverites… remember when there was still the 98B-line? The airport bus station was right outside the Delta airport hotel. The Canada Line is quick and efficient and all that, but I do miss that view.
we stayed at the delta sun peaks…nice hotel 🙂 i would love a free two-night stay!
I stayed at the Delta Edmonton Centre Suite there and had a very good experience with the service and the rooms. I’d love to win another stay at the Delta!
I stayed at the Delta in Burnaby (in one of the signature suites) and had access to the signature club lounge there – fantastic food and awesome views of the city! Pick me – I wanna win a 2 night stay at another Delta!
Oops, just re-read your contest request. Burnaby (where the Delta I stayed at is located) is a great place. I work for the City of Burnaby and as part of my job, I get to go around and see the the whole city all the time. Lots of natural beauty in places like Deer Lake park, Central Park and interesting culture with the Shadbolt Centre for the Arts and the Burnaby Village Museum. My favourite restaurant in Burnaby is X-site Bar and Grill on Hastings. They have daily specials at unbeatable prices and their food is tasty!
I’ve been to the Delta Ocean Point Inn in Victoria. It was beautiful. Victoria is such a lovely community with the gorgeous ocean views, the quaint cobble-stoned streets great for shopping, and the amazing restaurants. I would love to go back, or see what else Delta has to offer across Canada.
Thanks.
If I won, I would either pick the Delta in Calgary as I will be making my way through there in September. OR I would pick a nice spot for hubby and I to have a little getaway, so probably in Kananaskis, Sun Peaks, or Whistler. We’ve been to all three places but have never stayed so we’d enjoy the atmosphere in either one!
Thank you!
The Delta Chelsea in Downtown Toronto is a lovely hotel. Always clean, bright, hotel staff are extremely friendly (at all hours!) and it’s an absolute pleasure to be a guest at this establishment. The BB33 Bistro is delicious and alterations to menu items can be accomodated which is a real plus! Definitely looking forward to staying at many more Delta hotels in the future!
Burnaby was an unbelievable joy.The natural beauty and outlying area was stunning. The hotel and the service was also great. Staff was very friendly and helpful.
I live in Victoria (we’ve got the Delta Ocean Pointe!) and it’s a city with the best of everything. Hiking trails, family parks, ocean. We’re a short drive to amazing resorts up island, and a ferry ride away from the most serene Gulf Islands.
My stay at the Delta Hotel in downtown Vancouver was great, truely exceptional service! It’s a few minutes walk from historical Gastown which offers local shops and a variety of different restaurants.
The new Delta Hotel in Burnaby looks unbelievably stunning from the outside and in!
My stay at Delta Whistler was one of the most memorable. Swimming in the outdoor pool with indoor access while it snowed was the best experience of all my Whistler stays.
Typed a wrong email handle in the above entry.
My stay at Delta Whistler was one of the most memorable. Swimming in the outdoor pool with indoor access while it snowed was the best experience of all my Whistler stays.
Love to win. Good luck everyone.
Please pick me. I want to stay in Whistler Delta
I’m pretty sure Whistler would be my first pick, doesn’t get any better than that.
I have never stayed at a Delta Hotel ~ sounds great by the feedback on this site! Would certainly love to find out though!! 😉
I’m staying at the Delta Montreal in May and am so looking forward to the great downtown location! I think the Good Neighbours campaign is really wonderful and am following all the action at @DeltaHotelsLtd on Twitter 😀
I’ve stayed at the Ocean Pointe Delta in Victoria. The room was lovely and the location is great – just a 5 min walk to downtown. I’m planning on taking a trip to Ottawa this summer and it looks like there’s a Delta there too. They even have a salt water pool!
I recently stayed at the Delta in Victoria for a wedding and it was amazing – and within walking distance to all of the wonderful boutique shops and restaurants that make Victoria one of my favourite places to visit.
I love the delta hotels, particularly the delta ocean point in vancouver -what a spectacular view of victoria.
Love the delta in Whistler
I love the Delta Ocean Pointe in Victoria. Victoria in the summer time is the one of the best places to visit. The city has so much to offer, from whale watching tours, great patio restaurants, beautiful Butchart Gardens (check out the fire works on Sat’s in the summer time) The Wax Museum, The Royal Victoria Museum, and not to mention the Blue Fox Cafe for delicious brunch.
Would love to visit family in Toronto at the Delta Chelsea.
My favourite is the Delta in Halifax. When I stayed last year on Earth Day the whole community around the hotel got together to clean up the neighborhood. It was cool.
Can’t beat the Delta at the airport in Richmond. Well, the one in Victoria perhaps bests the Richmond one. But, that Richmond one has a terrific view of runway 26 L.
I would love to stay for a couple of nights at the Delta Whistler Suites hotel. Be a great opportunity to try out the chain too.
I would love to take my boyfriend (who visits each summer from England) to the Delta Victoria and show him the Island… or perhaps Sun Peaks or Kelowna to show him the Okanagan. Thanks for the contest!
I grew up in Victoria and worked at the Ocean Pointe for a summer as a chambermaid. Victoria is a great city, so picturesque and charming. Excellent restaurants, great boutique shopping, fabulous nature and beautiful old homes and buildings. Now that I’ve lived in a couple of bigger cities I’m drawn back to Victoria, plus most of my friends who escaped after high school have all moved back. Who knows maybe I’ll move back one day.
I’m a Vancouverite but I travel to Calgary a lot and I know there are Delta hotels there. Calgary is a wonderful city to be in especially during the summer months when people can enjoy rafting down the Bow River or taking a bicycle ride along the many bike paths.
Stayed at the Delta Lodge at Kananaskis for a work conference. It is such a beautiful location!!
…the lodge also hosted the G8 Summit in 2002.
Delta at Whistler is theeee best. I swam in the pool and soaked in the hot tub while it snowed – pretty amazing feeling.
Delta at Whistler is theeee best. I swam in the pool and soaked in the hot tub while it snowed – pretty amazing feeling.
haven’s stayed at any Delta. Would love to win.
One of my favourite stays has been in Kelowna (Delta Grand Okanagan). It’s a picturesque waterfront location, with a great beach in that area. Kelowna is such a great community – the downtown core has such a welcome friendly feel. There are a lot of little museums in town like the BC wine museum. Oh, and have I mentioned how great the wine tasting in Kelowna is? 🙂
I’d love to check out the Delta in Victoria. I’ve only been there once, when I was about 12, but I remember the town was so beautiful. And so many good restaurants! Sometime this summer I need to have high tea at the Empress, too — it’s just such a treat!
The Charlottetown Festival itself is headlined by Canada’s most popular and longest-running musical, Anne of Green Gables – The Musical, which is an adaptation of Island author Lucy Maud Montgomery’s novel. The musical has been performed continuously ever since 1965.
I would love to stay at the Delta Hotel in Victoria.
Victoria is such a beautiful city and there is so much to do there and the ferry trip over there is so nice and quick.
Count me in!
We stayed at the downtown toronto Delta when we went to the Toronto zoo. Awesome swimming pool. Really nice breakfast. We enjoyed our stay. I’d love to go back.
Would love to stay at the one in Whistler or Victoria! Count me into the draw please!
I would be interested in staying in Toronto. We take many day trips there and hate driing back at rush hour. Toronto has so much for families to do. I love visiting the museums and the Zoo there
richmond is a great community with a delta hotel. it’s peaceful, quiet, little crime, but at the same time has plenty of places to see and lots of good food!
I stayed at the Delta in Kananaskis. That is a great location with mountains within view, and the City of Calgary not too far away. You can see bears and all sorts of other wildlife.
The history and beauty in Halifax is amazing. My family enjoyed visiting the Citadel and were amazed that the guards stood in the heat all day in their hot uniforms. We also enjoyed strolling along the inner harbour visiting the many shops and restaurants of the inner harbour. Oh and the tour at the Alexander Keith’s Brewery was great fun! Please enter me in the contest! Thanks!
Following the 2003 hurricane Juan in Halifax, I spent almost 4 months at the Delta Barrington, while my apartment was being repaired! The staff there were very accommodating and by the end, I had made friends with a number of the staff. I huge felt thank you to the Delta Barrington for making a stressful situation a lot more pleasant. I’m going on a trans-Canada trip next month, and I intend on staying in a few Delta’s as I make my way back to Halifax from Vancouver. Hope to win!
Delta Victoria Ocean Pointe is my favorite. I love the view of the Parliament buildings
I’m from Nova Scotia, and I’ve always very much enjoyed the times that I’ve stayed at the Delta Sydney in Nova Scotia. I’m also a wheelchair user, and I must say that I’ve gotten great service at the Delta, with any assistance that I’ve needed/required during my stays. The Delta went out of their way to accommodate my needs, and it made my stay that much more enjoyable! The Delta Sydney is also very close and within walking/wheeling distance to some main street shops and places to eat. Two new places I recently discovered that are my top things to do while staying/visiting in Sydney, and is only like a 5-10 minute walk/wheel from the Delta Sydney hotel. A quaint little fine dining restaurant called Flavor (http://twitter.com/cbflavor). If you like mushrooms, I recommend their appetizer Marsala Mushroom & Thyme Crostini. I also recommend that you make reservations, because they have limited seating and it’s not a big place. Then my other top pick is just literally around the corner from the Flavor restaurant….its a candy shop called Time Machine Candy Works (http://twitter.com/CandyBlaster) for those with a sweet tooth, and a highlight at the candy shop is that every Friday is cupcake day! If you can, check out cupcake day on Fridays at the candy store! Then for something else to do in Sydney, check out the Sydney Farmer’s Market on Saturday, and the woman who makes the cupcakes for the candy store has a booth at the Farmer’s Market herself. You can pre-order cupcakes from her via her website (http://www.cocoapod.ca/) and then pick them up from her at the Sydney Farmer’s Market on Saturday. Her cupcakes are totally AWESOME and so many different yummy varieties, you won’t be able to choose just one! Another great restaurant in the Sydney area which isen’t too far from the Delta Sydney is called Kiju’s (http://www.kijus.com/). They have a very good menu selection and good sized portions (too big for me lol) and again I also recommend making reservations. Lastly, there is a quaint country inn that’s about 20 to 30 minutes outside of Sydney that I would also recommend eating at their fine dining restaurant called The Birches Country Inn (http://www.thebirchescountryinn.ca/).So there you are, check out some of my top pics if you are ever visiting Sydney, Nova Scotia, they won’t disappoint! In closing finally lol, I want to be entered into the Delta Good Neighbours Challenge Giveaway….Thanks & Cheers! 🙂
Delta can be found in Victoria. Love staying there.
Would absolutely love to visit Montreal and stay at either the Delta Montreal or Delta Centre-Ville. I’m gonna get there soon someday…
It would be awesome to win. I want to visit Toronto again, see some old friends and stay at the Delta Chelsea. This is a great prize. I’ve always been impressed by Delta.
delta montreal-centre-ville is my fave. great service amenities and perfect location
I love Banff because of its natural scenery. Luckily, there is a Delta Banff Royal Canadian Lodge there too for me to stay in.
Victoria is my hometown, it is the epitome of community. Whenever something goes array, people are always helping each other out. If someone’s child is ill, people have bottle drives to raise money, walks for awareness, greenspaces, enviromental clean-ups, (Gorge waterway for example.) It is still such a small city that when the call for community is put out, people answer. I love Victoria! 🙂
Toronto is a fantastic city to visit and if I win I’d like to stay at the Delta Chelsea downtown. I have lots of friends in Toronto and I always hit them up for a place to crash when I’m in town. A stay at the Chelsea would take the burden off my good friends and also give me an opportunity to visit some of the great cultural sites around the city center such as the AGO, MOCCA and my favorite the ROM, which I haven’t been to since the major upgrades a couple years ago.
Delta Montreal Hotel is a fabulous hotel in a fabulous city. It is in a great location which is convenient for older couples. The staff is helpful and easy to deal with. Overall, a comfortable hotel with great value for travellers.
I have stayed at a few Delta Hotels, and I am usually happy with the facility, amenities and services. I especially like Delta Victoria with the lovely harborview, and the Delta Sun Peaks offering total tranquility and fresh air.
I had a wonderful experience at the Delta Ocean Point in Victoria….i would love to go back & enjoy again!
Home game hockey nights are spent with an overnight booked at the Delta Hotel downtown Vancouver on Hastings (budget allowing of course). It means a short skytrain ride to the stadium and no worries about my partner having to forego his game day beers :o)
Would love to win a stay there since they are always gracious and show enthusiasm as we walk out in our Canucks Jerseys.
Go Canucks Go! Yay Round 2 here we come!
Love to stay for 2 nights at a Delta hotel in Victoria or montreal!!
🙂
The Delta in Fredericton is so great! They have a piano in the lobby that I love playing. The brunches are also amazing. And the staff are wonderful!
Would love to stay at the Delta in Whistler!
Not many people know that there’s a Delta in Sun Peaks (come to think of it, not many people know about the Sun Peaks community either). Nestled among nature, wildlife and blue skies, it’s a quaint European-style village built around Sun Peaks Ski Resort, voted one of the best family ski resorts in Canada, and second only in size to Whistler. In the winter, it’s home to the Winter Wine Festival and the best snow for skiing and snowboarding; in the summer, there’s mountain biking, hiking and geocaching. The Delta is huge part of this community, employing many of the community’s year-round residents and providing exceptional service to guests. I’d love to win so I can stay at the Delta Sun Peaks for free!
Haven’t been to the one in Whistler in a few years, but would absolutely love to again! xo
We travelled to New Brunswick from Nova Scotia 2 years ago for a golf getaway and stayed at the Delta Fredericton. It is a wonderful hotel with superb service. It overlooks the beautiful St. John River and has over 70 km of trails and lots of green space. Fredericton is a beautiful place. I would love to stay here again. I also hear the Delta Beausejour in Moncton, NB is wonderful so would love the opportunity to check it out this Summer as it is not too far from Parlee Beach! Thanks for the contest! 🙂
We are planning a trip to New Brunswick this Summer and plan on staying in the Moncton area and then taking day trips from there.
In the past 5 years I have stayed at three Delta locations including: the Delta Chelsea in Toronto, the Delta Fredericton in New Brunswick and the Delta Halifax in Nova Scotia. They are a first class hotel and the amenities and service is second to none.
I would love to be entered in your contest. Thanks so much!
[…] Miss 604 is also giving away two weekends to the Delta! […]
burnaby is a nice place, you can go up to burnaby mountain to visit and there is a really nice view there
up at sunpeaks is a great little area. the hotel is beautiful and the surroundings are great, especially in the winter
I haven’t ever been to a Delta hotel but I know it’s in Vancouver and I’d love to go to one for the experience! 🙂
The Delta Chelsea in Toronto is one of my faves. Located in the heart of DT Toronto, I found so many amazing shopping areas, restaurants and pubs within walking distance. The vibe and culture in Toronto is so vibrant, I love to be able to immerse myself in it with a hotel that allows for easy exploration!
My husband and I are planning on a trip out West from Nova Scotia and we would love to stay at a Delta during out trip. I have heard many great things from family members and friends about Delta hotels. Please enter me in your contest! Thanks! 🙂
My wife and I love to travel and have stayed at many great hotels but haven’t had the chance to stay at a Delta yet. We would love to stay at one of the beautiful Delta hotels on our next trip. Thanks for entering me in your great contest.
I’ve stayed at the Delta in Whistler and Burnaby but since I’m a Burnaby gal at heart (currently live in Surrey) I’ll say a few things about Burnaby…
We lived in Burnaby when we first moved to Vancouver back in 1997. I finished high school (Burnaby South), got my first job (McD’s in Metrotown), and went on to university (SFU) in this fabulous city. I now live in Surrey but work in Burnaby and love to play here every chance I get. I participate in the 24 Hour Relay in Swangard Stadium every summer, and like going for walks around Deer Lake Park, Central Park and Burnaby Mountain on weekends. I love shopping at Metropolis at Metrotown, which happens to be BC’s largest shopping centre. I like the dim sum at Fortune House Seafood Restaurant in the mall and my favorite sushi joint is Sushi Garden across the street from the mall (LOVE their Alaska rolls). I also love going to Simba’s Grill on Edmonds Street and have become good friends with the owner. What can I say, I love this city!
I have been to the Delta Prince Edward, in Charlottetown, PEI a few times for the annual Bootleggers Ball (!!! So freakin fun!!) which show cases local and Maritime musical talent from all over. There are auctions, lots of great music and huge parties going on every floor!!
The good folks at the Delta treated us (drunk asses) like gold, and served us up a delicious brunch the next morning! It really is the cream of the crop, if you are going to be staying in Charlottetown. Best part, is it is near the waterfront and walking distance to all the best venues in the (small) downtown core =)
Would love to win this!!
The Delta Sun Peaks Resort hotel is beautiful. Winter or Summer … great place to stay.
I am going to be staying at the Delta in Victoria on a stagette this weekend! Great spot – can’t wait!
I would LOVE a two night stay at the Delta Whistler Village Suites! It would be a well-deserved break from my roommate.
My favourite Delta experience thus far was in the Whistler, BC location. The town itself leaves you speechless but the Delta employees go above and beyond to ensure your stay is a memorable one. Kind welcomes and great views made this Delta experience a great one. (Not to mention the beds were perfect after a long day of snowboarding and a long night of partying!)
There’s a Delta hotel in Kelowna, BC – It’s called the Delta Grand and it’s located right on the waterfront of Okanagan Lake – walking distance to some of the best restaurants in Kelowna – RauDZ Regional Table is my personal favourite. Near beaches, golf, wineries, skiing, and everything great about the Okanagan.
I love where the Delta in Victoria is located – right on the waterfront in downtown Victoria. You can take the mini ferries, go whale watching, walk along the harbour, or visit the Royal BC Museum!
Had a great stay at the Delta Bow Valley in Calgary a few years ago…
Delta hotel in Richmond. A wonderful, clean, olympic hosting city!
My family is originally from Calgary, and I was born there. Slowly we all moved away until only my Aunt in the suburb town of Okotokos remains. However, now that my grandmother needs to reside in a seniors residence, she too has returned to Calgary.
So Calgary is a place to visit that has memories from my very early childhood. It has grown so much, and yet has stayed the same. I can still find my way around from my 6 year old memories… to the school I went to Grade 1 in, the pool I learned to swim, Calgary Zoo where I learned a love of animals, downtown where I learned that if you lived somewhere cold you just connect all the buildings, Heritage Park where we used to go in the summer and Prince’s Park where we would picnic for my birthday.
I don’t think I could live there again… I’m spoiled by the west coast winters; but I love to visit in the summer.
Love Victoria! Going in May for my guy’s 35th, would be great to stay at the Delta!!
Delta in Kelowna is so nice, pool is amazing!
My hubby and I haven’t had a real vacation in ages. I’d love to stay at the Delta Chelsea in Toronto. My cousin, who happens to be one of my best friends lives
in TO. We spent many a night dancing into the wee hours when I was studying at Ryerson. Would love to see her and a few of my pals from my uni days, plus head out on the town with the hub. Maybe rent a car and head to the zoo too, which I visited tons as a kid.
We stayed at the Delta Sun Peaks: it was gorgeous! Excellent service, too.
I’ve spent a few great nights at the Delta in Whistler. AMAZING service there, so much in fact that we woke up after a “big” night in the village and noticed we didn’t have a coffee maker in the room. Called reception and they brought one up within 5 minutes AND a voucher for a free night’s stay anytime in the next year. It was much appreciated and now we stay at the Delta Inn and Suites in Whistler whenever we can!
I’ve had the pleasure to stay in Whistler at the Delta hotel there. Whistler is such a diverse place and isn’t just about the winter sports. There are so many things to do during the spring, summer and fall too! The drive to Whistler even from the ferry terminal at Horseshoe Bay is a little piece of heaven. Driving along the ocean to Squamish, perhaps stopping for a picnic lunch at Shannon Falls, one of BC’s highest waterfalls, and then into the forested beauty along the Cheakamus River Valley up towards Whistler. While in Whistler itself I love taking the lift up to the top of the mountain where you can see forever on a clear day. Hiking around the mountain tops, taking photo’s is a great pleasure of mine. Mulling around the shops in Whistler village is another great pleasure. While staying in Whistler, you can also take a drive further north towards Pemberton, and stop on the way to see Nairn Falls Provincial Park. When you arrive in Pemberton you are in a different world. Glaciers abound on the peaks around Pemberton and the Pemberton Valley and from Pemberton you can journey to Meager Hot Springs (undeveloped), The Hurley Forestry Road to Gold Bridge, D’Arcy which connects you to a powerline forestry road to Shalath & Seton Portage and Mission Ridge over to Lilloet, the Duffey Lake road in the alpine meadows heading to Lillooet as well, or down the old wagon road, now forestry road past Lillooet Lake, Skookumchuk Hot Springs, and along the West side of Harrison Lake to where the road joins in with Hwy 7 near Agassiz and east of Chilliwack.
I remember eating dinner at the Victoria Delta’s “Lure” restaurant on the point. Incredible view of the sun setting on Victoria’s Inner harbour.
Such a beautiful location and such a beautiful hotel!!
I’ve stayed in quite a few Delta’s around Canada and they have all been awesome.
I have never stayed in a Delta Hotel. Would be nice to have a room in Calgary when we visit Grandma. Plus we have to find a place that lets us have the dogs with us. Delta lets us do that. 😉
Whoa, a Delta Hotel in Sun Peaks! I would get to visit my best friend in Kamloops and not intrude on her house, in fact, maybe host her for an evening of fun!
My bf and I stayed at the Delta Chelsea in DT Toronto (years ago) for our Anniversary. We had dinner atop the CN tower then watched The Lion King, and came home to our room at the Delta Chelsea to find a bottle of champagne, 2 glasses and a yummy platter of cheeses & fruit! They made us feel extra special going above and beyond their call of duty and left us with nothing but beautiful memories 🙂
My parents got married at the Delta in Richmond 35 years ago. They always recommend it to out of town guests coming to visit.
The commnunity I like is Victoria. A great community with farmers markets galore and folks committed to local foods.
Fredericton NB, Lovely city with great people and character. The best part of it is the Farmer’s Market on Saturday mornings. If you ever get a chance to visit New Brunswick, you HAVE to check it out. Also surprising for such a small city, but the Beaverbrook Art Gallery is pretty cool!
Ottawa is by far my favourite city and community! It has such a great vibe, and such awesome sights, that just make it my absolute favourite place (aside from Vancouver, of course)!
I just had a fantastic weekend at Whistler. We stayed at the Delta which was great. They gave us complementary breakfasts and a fantastic welcome snack.
I’d love to stay at the Delta in Vancouver. We travel a lot to foreign countries and yet, don’t “vacation” in our own backyard.
Winning this contest would give us the gift of exploring our neighborhood.
The Delta at Whistler was clean and had a great pool .
I’ve stayed at so many Deltas that I’ve lost count! I love the Delta Suites at Whistler, Delta Victoria, and Delta in Calgary! Oh, and I’ll never forget the Delta Grand Okanagain either! We had a most amazing stay in a luxurious suite there. Fantastic service and the view is to die for.
The Delta Victoria Ocean Pointe Resort and Spa is in such a lovely location. The entire downtown area of Victoria is so walkable, with loads of neat shops (yes, even ones that aren’t touristy!). And there’s a fantastic Scottish pub, the Bard & Banker http://www.bardandbanker.com/
The Delta Victoria Ocean pointe is near the Parliament buildings and walking distance to many of the attractions of Victoria – especially the Provincial Museum.
