Through dialogue, Larry Grant reflects on a life shaped by Musqueam and Chinese heritage, colonial policy, and the search for belonging. The event explores stories of family, place and the ongoing process of reconciling with history and identity in Canada.
Following the talk, Larry and Scott will sign books and meet attendees. Books will be available for purchase. This is a chance to hear directly from Larry about the experiences that shaped his lifelong work toward understanding and reconciliation.
Reconciling is a series of conversations between Larry and writer Scott Steedman as they visit pivotal geographical places together, including the Musqueam reserve, Chinatown, the site of the Mission residential school, the Vancouver docks and the University of British Columbia. Larry tells the story of his life, including his thoughts on reconciliation and the path forward for First Nations and Canada.
