Diwali at Metropolis at Metrotown

  • When:  October 25-26th from 11:00am to 4:00pm
  • Where: Metropolis at Metrotown
    • The Ground Level outside of the Fossil store, near Victoria Secret. 
  • Admission: The two-day celebration at BC’s largest shopping centre is where visitors and locals alike can experience a range of authentic cultural experiences (including the arts, culinary delights, dance and more), with plenty of photo opportunities and displays.
  • Sip on authentic Indian chai from Chai Wagon, indulge in Indian treats, get tattooed by a Mehndi artist, consult a numerologist, and learn how to dance like a Bollywood star! Dance lessons at 12:00pm, 12:45pm, and 1:30pm (Saturday, October 26th only). Enter to win prizes and giveaways with the Spice Radio team on-site. (Saturday, October 26th only)

A celebration of Diwali

  • When: Saturday, October 26, 2024 from 2:30pm to 4:00pm
  • Where: North Vancouver City Library (120 14th St W, North Vancouver)
  • Admission: Registration requested, by drop-ins welcome if there is capacity. Join an afternoon of crafts and activities, and to learn about Diwali’s symbolism and traditions. Colourful clothing is encouraged. All are invited.

Celebrate Diwali: A Festival of Light

  • When: Saturday, October 19, 2024 from 2:00pm to 3:30pm
  • Where: West Vancouver Memorial Library (1950 Marine Dr, West Vancouver)
  • Admission: Free – Learn about India’s largest festival through stories, yoga, dance, and crafts. Traditional treats will be provided. Children under the age of 10 must attend with a parent or caregiver.
