A Loving Spoonful, a charity that supports individuals and families living with HIV/AIDS and in many cases co-existing illnesses. They deliver ready-made and nutritious meals to men, women and children living with HIV/AIDS who are unable to provide food for themselves because of medical or health conditions. With your help, they hope to provide 8,000 meals to people living with illness!

Broadway Across Canada has unveiled their upcoming 2020-2021 Season. Five theatrical productions will take centre stage at the Queen Elizabeth Theatre beginning next fall including the Vancouver premiere engagement of the Broadway Musical, HAMILTON.

2020 will close out with DEAR EVAN HANSEN (February 25 to March 1, 2020), FINDING NEVERLAND (April 7 to 12, 2020), and WICKED (season option, July 9-26, 2020).
Kicking off the 2020-2021 Broadway Across Canada Season will be CHICAGO (September 15 to 20), Broadway’s razzle-dazzle smash. Next is JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR (October 28 – November 1, 2020), in a new mesmerizing production to celebrate its 50th Anniversary.
This is followed by ANASTASIA (January 19 to 24, 2021), a dazzling show that will transport you from the twilight of the Russian Empire to the euphoria of Paris in the 1920s. Next up is season option COME FROM AWAY (March 9 – 21, 2021), a Best Musical winner all across North America. Closing the season is HAMILTON (June 22 – July 25, 2021), the story of America’s Founding Father Alexander Hamilton, an immigrant from the West Indies who became George Washington’s right-hand man during the Revolutionary War and was the new nation’s first Treasury Secretary.

This weekend is Parks Canada’s 11th annual Vive les Voyageurs Festival at Fort Langley. Discover French-Canadian culture — past and present — through interactive presentations and treats like maple taffy and poutine. Reflect on the role of French-Canadian trappers, interpreters and voyageurs played in shaping the history of Fort Langley and Canada.

Families will also enjoy interactive presentations like the Métis jig workshop and French-Canadian music performances.

Fort Langley National Historic Site reflects the rich and varied heritage of our nation and provides an opportunity for Canadians to learn more about our diverse history. Many of the Hudson’s Bay Company workers—including those who came to work at Fort Langley—were French-Canadian. Many developed legendary reputations for their work transporting furs by canoe across the wild reaches of the country. They helped negotiate trade with Indigenous communities, and navigated great rivers carrying bundles of fur over portages.
