“In Mort’s Village everything has its place, every day is the same and everyone likes it that way. Until one morning, crash, boom, bang! Down comes Beep from the sky. Who is this noisy robot, and how will she find her home? A story about unexpected friendship, finding where you fit, and learning how to mix things up.” 

Featuring incredible puppetry by the acclaimed Windmill Theatre will enchant children and adults alike. If you liked WALL-E, you will love BEEP!

Starting Friday, January 24th, Metropolis at Metrotown’s Grand Court (4700 Kingsway, Burnaby) will be the home to 388 red lanterns, great for taking photos with your family and friends.

Each weekend, Metropolis will be hosting a series of activities including traditional and modern Chinese, Vietnamese and Korean dance performances, live music performances, paper craft and cookie decorating workshops, fortune telling workshop and consultations, and Travel through Asia photo booth.

With daily activities such as Spin to Win as well as weekly Instagram prize draws, visitors to Metropolis will have various opportunities to win a prize from some of the shopping centre’s retail stores. Spend $188 or more each day, present your daily receipts, for a Spin on the Lucky Fortune Wheel in Grand Court. Win retailer prizes or even a Metropolis gift card! Limit of one prize per person per day.

From January 24 to February 9, 2020 visitors to the exhibit can also enter at Grand Court for a chance to win a $1000 Metropolis shopping spree.

Lunar New Year isn’t complete without a traditional lion dance on January 29th, arriving in Grand Court at 10am and proceeding through the mall to provide the stores with its lucky blessings.

  • Tickets: Catch all four films for one sweet price $40 in advance or at the door. VIP pass ($60) includes early / priority entry to the event as well as a one-of-a-kind “swag bag” featuring a fantastic selection of goodies local sponsors.

Tickets to individual films are not currently available for online sale, but may be available at the door (subject to availability) for $20. Stay tuned for updates about this.
