This edgy and irreverent Broadway smash hit musical comedy is based on Tim Burton’s dearly beloved film, this hilarious musical tells the story of Lydia Deetz, a strange and unusual teenager whose whole life changes when she meets a recently deceased couple and a demon with a thing for stripes. With an irreverent book, an astonishing set, and a score that’s out of this Netherworld, Beetlejuice is “SCREAMINGLY GOOD FUN!” (Variety).

Beetlejuice is directed by Tony Award® winner Alex Timbers (Moulin Rouge!, Director of Warner Bros. forthcoming TOTO, the animated musical film adaptation of Michael Morpurgo and Emma Chichester Clark’s 2017 book) with an original score by Tony Award nominee Eddie Perfect (King Kong); a book by Tony Award nominee Scott Brown (“Castle Rock”) and Tony and Emmy Award® nominee Anthony King (“Robbie”); music supervision, orchestrations and incidental music by Kris Kukul (Joan of Arc: Into the Fire); and choreography by Connor Gallagher (The Robber Bridegroom).

This is part of Broadway Across Canada’s 2024-2025 season in Vancouver that will also include TINA – The Tina Turner Musical (March 25-30); SIX (May 13-18); and Disney’s The Lion King (August 20-Septembeer 14). To round out the 2024 season, there’s The Book of Mormon (November 12 – 17, 2024); and wrapping up with the legendary Riverdance 30 – The New Generation (June 10 – 15, 2025).

Following last year’s success at Cecil Green Park House, this year’s event promises to top expectations once again. Meanwhile, the Conservatory promises to serve up a tropical holiday brunch and the Library will have guests travelling to the future with an avant-garde holiday transformation.

After touring the exquisitely decorated rooms, wander outside to the covered and heated Terrace of Trees overlooking the gorgeous gardens at Cecil Green Park. Here visitors will be encouraged to linger and admire twenty sponsored trees, all beautifully decorated by designers and creatives. Also on this terrace, the popular Silent Auction features a carefully curated selection of items for inspired holiday shopping. And be sure to pick up a handmade wreath and spread festive cheer from your doorstep.

She has performed all over Canada and the US and lent her vocals to the legacy project of Vancouver-based composer, Joan Beckow.
