BC’s largest free literary festival, Word Vancouver, takes over UBC Robson Square, and beyond, this September for a full lineup of free programming.

The festival’s opening gala is on Thursday, September 10th hosted by Guest Indigenous Curator, Frances Koncan, and Guest 2SLGBTQIA+ Curator, Nicola Harwood. It will bring together literary and performance voices from across disciplines, celebrating the power of stories, creativity, and community.
Then don’t miss new panelists and beloved favourites, workshops, readings, and an onsite literary and art fair at UBC Robson Square on Festival Day, September 19th. Check out the Poetry Tent, Children’s Tent, and a variety of free programming throughout the site.
