Whitecaps Archive Kit Vancouver 86ers Throwback
This year marks 40 years since Vancouver 86ers were introduced to the city in 1986. “I have been fortunate to be a part of professional soccer in Vancouver for nearly five decades,” said Carl Valentine, club legend and first-ever 86ers goalscorer. “The 86ers have such a special place in our club history. There is a real vibrancy in these colours, and I think when fans see these kits in action, they are really going to fall in love with them.”
- The colours for the Archive Kit honour the club’s history as Vancouver 86ers with a bold blue, vibrant yellow, and red accents.
- The chest mark features the iconic Vancouver ribbon from the original 86ers crest, merged with the beauty of British Columbia that includes the pacific dogwood, the province’s official flower.
- The 40th anniversary jocktag commemorates the founding of Vancouver 86ers, symbolizing the enduring legacy that connects past glory to present pride.
The Archive Collection also features an anthem jacket and hat from adidas, as well as additional merch from Whitecaps FC including a Vancouver 86ers scarf, shirt, hoody, and a special edition throwback goalkeeper top.

The ‘Caps will debut the Archive Kit, featuring yellow shorts and blue socks, at the ‘80s match, presented by Rio Mare, at BC Place this coming Wednesday, August 19 against Houston Dynamo FC. The first 2,000 fans will receive a special edition 86ers headband.
The Archive Kit is available to purchase online as well as in-stadium and at the Gastown store (385 Water St, Vancouver) starting August 19th.
