Vancouver Whitecaps Win 9th Cascadia Cup

With tonight’s win against the Sounders in Seattle, Vancouver Whitecaps FC have clinched a record 9th Cascadia Cup, winning all three matches against Portland and Seattle so far this season.

In 2004 supporters of the Portland Timbers, Seattle Sounders, and Vancouver Whitecaps founded the Cascadia Cup, awarding the trophy to the best soccer team in the Pacific Northwest each season. Vancouver Whitecaps FC have won the Cascadia Cup in 2004, 2005, 2008, 2013, 2014, 2016, 2023, 2025, and 2026.

The ‘Caps repeated their celebration from 2025 after clinching the regional supporters’ title with a 2-0 victory over Seattle Sounders FC at Lumen Field.

With the victory, Whitecaps FC (11W-4D-3L, 37 points) returned to top spot in the MLS Western Conference.

Whitecaps FC now get set to return to BC Place for another blockbuster match, as it will pit the first place ‘Caps against the second place Houston Dynamo FC. Kickoff this coming Wednesday, August 19 will be at 7:30pm, as the ‘Caps debut their archive kits for the ’80s Match.
