Canada Together at Canada Place Schedule

Downtown Vancouver’s biggest event on July 1st (Canada Day) is Canada Together at Canada Place with live music on multiple stages, a citizenship ceremony welcoming new Canadians, the CN Family Zone, an Expo 86 exhibit, an Indigenous Marketplace, performers, exhibitors and food trucks. Festivities take place indoors and outside so there’s plenty to enjoy whether rain or shine!

  • Date: Wednesday, July 1, 2026 11:00am to 6:00pm
  • Location: The indoor and outdoor spaces at Canada Place, Jack Poole Plaza, and surrounding city streets.

July 1 celebrations at Canada Place have been held for four decades and are among the largest in the country outside of Ottawa. The event, formerly known as Canada Day at Canada Place, was re-introduced as Canada Together in 2022, with planning and programming shaped through collaboration with host Nations to reflect shared values of inclusion and connection.

At 9:30am, Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada hosts a citizenship ceremony welcoming 60 new Canadians into the country’s multicultural family. Then at 11:00am, zones and exhibits, including the main stage, will open with entertainment and activities for everyone to enjoy.

Getting There

The port authority encourages event attendees to take public transit, with Canada Place conveniently located near several bus routes and the Waterfront and Burrard SkyTrain stations. With increased activity in downtown Vancouver related to upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup matches, attendees are encouraged to plan ahead and allow extra travel time.
