Grouse Mountain Opening Friday for Skiing & Riding
Grouse Mountain will be opening for its skiing/riding season at noon on Friday, December 19, 2025. The mountain will be celebrating its centennial season in 2026. Paradise and Paradise Jib Park will be accessible to skiers and snowboarders via the Greenway Chair, with the goal of expanding terrain through the weekend.

Also on the North Shore:
- Cypress is opening on Saturday, December 20, 2025
- Mount Seymour is currently open for tobogganing and Santa visits
Snowshoeing
Snowshoe trails are also returning this winter, where guests can embrace the tranquil backdrop of a natural winter wonderland. The Blue Grouse Lake Loop and the Snowshoe Grind to Snag Tree are already open for the season, with the remaining trails projected to open by Friday, December 19 at noon.
Peak of Christmas
Breakfast with Santa is a time-honoured tradition as part of Grouse Mountain’s Peak of Christmas celebration. Feel the magic of Vancouver’s North Pole and enjoy a delicious breakfast buffet with a visit from Santa Claus himself December 19-24, 2025.
Grouse’s 100 year anniversary begins with a New Year’s Eve Centennial Kick-Off, followed by a year-long calendar of exciting events, limited-time ticket and pass offers, and special activations highlighting a century of stories at The Peak of Vancouver.

Winter Forecast
This winter’s forecast sees meteorologists predicting a La Niña climate for the 2025/26 season, which typically means more snow on the mountains thanks to lower temperatures and increased precipitation. Grouse Mountain is also trialing a Latitude 90 L60 snowmaking machine, which will complement the expected La Niña winter, and support the Mountain’s existing snowmaking. The L60 is capable of snowmaking regardless of the temperature/weather, even in temperatures up to +20°C, and aims to extend the downhill season so passholders and guests can make the most of ski season.

Lift Tickets and Passes
Lift tickets are available now at a reduced rate until additional terrain opens, along with 3-Day+ Pass for multiple days on the slopes. This Saturday and Sunday, skiing and riding hours will be 8:30am to 10:00pm. Check on current conditions, a mountain web cam, and the day’s events live online.
