First-Ever Celebrate BC Festival
Honour the spirit and diversity of British Columbia through music, art, food, and cultural storytelling at the first-ever Celebrate BC Festival on Monday, August 4, 2025 (BC Day) in Coquitlam.

First-Ever Celebrate BC Festival
- When: August 4, 2025
- Location: Town Centre Park (1299 Pinetree Wy, Coquitlam)
- Admission: Free!
Envisioned as a new annual event, Celebrate BC Festival reflects the dynamic voices and regions that make up British Columbia’s cultural fabric.
Attendees will be able to attend an Indigenous fashion show (presented by Vancouver Indigenous Fashion Week), catch live performances headlined by Juno award-winning artist George Leach, soar through the sky with Zipline Adventure, enjoy delicious local food and art, and much more. The festival will feature a Heritage Walk, showcasing cultural timelines from Japanese, Korean, Filipino, Chinese, and Indigenous communities. The BC Wine Garden and Best of BC Pavilion will feature local food, wine, art, talent, and Indigenous storytelling.
The festival will also play host to the largest salmon barbecue in provincial history, as some of BC’s most acclaimed chefs prepare a whopping 2,000 pounds of barbecued wild salmon on-site. Salmon Buns will be available for purchase; attendees can get a “skip-the-line” ticket online!
Hosted by SUCCESS BC and the City of Coquitlam with the guidance and partnership of the Kwikwetlem First Nation (kʷikʷəɫʻɛɛm), the Festival is a tribute to BC’s coastal heritage and Indigenous traditions, honouring the spirit and diversity of British Columbia.
