Many communities around Metro Vancouver are celebrating Canada Day in their own way on July 1st, including concerts, fireworks, and more. If you’re looking for affordable, family-friendly events, activities, and even some fireworks we’ve got you covered all around Metro Vancouver and the Fraser Valley:

Downtown Vancouver

Canada Together at Canada Place (11:00am to 6:00pm) is a family-friendly celebration with food, activities, an Indigenous Marketplace, and storytelling with a diverse musical lineup including headliners Dear Rouge. Miss604 is a sponsor.

Vancouver

O Canada Day! on Granville Island includes live music, artisans and makers, food vendors, dance classes, kids’ activities,  and an official Canada Day Ceremony with free cake at the new Chain & Forge outdoor space. Additional activities will take place Island wide like the Annual Lobster Roll Picnic at Lobster man, Button Making at MAKE, ‘Canada, Eh!’ show at The Improv Centre, and more.

Canada Day Craft Fair on Sunset (12:00pm to 4:00pm) presented by the Sunset Community Centre.

Metro Vancouver

Burnaby Canada Day StreetFest features food trucks, activities, a fireworks finale, and live musical performances from headliners MAGIC!. Canada Day at Burnaby Village Museum (11:00am to 4:45pm) offers multicultural family entertainment, live musical performances, displays, face painting, games, demonstrations, activites, and more. Canada Day at Edmonds Plaza and Park in Burnaby is a celebration with live entertainment, family-friendly activities, games, cake, and more. Miss604 is a sponsor.

Port Coquitlam Canada Day at Castle Park features live entertainment, food trucks and vendors, a beverage garden, local marketplace, family activities, and fireworks. Catch performances by headliners Trooper and Aaron Pritchett. Port Coquitlam is also hosting a Fishing Derby at Lions Park (8:00am to 11:00am) and a Canada Day Breakfast & Drop-in Sports at the Port Coquitlam Community Centre.

Canada Day in Coquitlam at Town Centre Park features a large lineup of multicultural musical and dance performances, food trucks, entertainment, and a fireworks display.

Canada Day in Delta kicks off at Diefenbaker Park (10:00am to 1:00am) with cake cutting and official ceremonies, then (12:00pm to 4:00pm) at Kirkland House for celebrations and children’s activities, and ends at Chalmers Park (3:00pm to 10:00pm) with a parade, food, live music, and fireworks show.

Canada Day at Queen’s Park in New Westminster (1:00pm to 8:00pm) invites everyone to celebrate Canada’s birthday in the park with Art Gallery in The Habitat (11:00am to 4:00pm); a vibrant showcase of works by local artists in an outdoor gallery. More information about the event to be announced.

Steveston Canada Day Salmon Festival invites everyone to celebrate Canada’s birthday with a show-stopping parade, live music, family activities, and more. Foodies will also be able to enjoy the iconic Salmon Bake.

Canada Day by the Bay at White Rock is a free, all-day event (12:00pm to 10:30pm) featuring live music performances, a kids zone, a vendors market, and fireworks finale.

Surrey Canada Day at the Bill Reid Amphitheatre (10:00am to 10:30pm) includes family entertainment, Indigenous programming, a beer garden and food trucks, amusement rides, and a fireworks show. Musical performances by The Reklaws, Goldie Boutilier and Garret T. Willie.

North Shore & Sea to Sky

Canada Day in West Vancouver at John Lawson Park (4:00pm to 9:00pm) brings the community together with fun activities, food vendors, and live music by Trilojay.

Canada Day at The Shipyards (11:00am to 5:00pm) features a lineup of activities, performances, community exhibits, splash park, and more.

Sk̲wx̲wú7mesh Squamish Together (10:00am to 6:00pm) at Junction Park is a celebration of community, remembering our past, honouring our traditional lands, and aiming towards a brighter future together through music, art, food and beverages, and crafting from many community groups and cultures.

Fraser Valley

Canada Day in Langley at McLeod Athletic Park is an all-day celebration (2:00pm to 1:00pm) with circus performances, a Kids Zone with bouncy castles, games, and face painting, food trucks, local breweries and artisans, and an evening drone show. Catch live music performance by Orchard Sky.

“Lights, Camera, Canada Day!” Parade along South Fraser Way in Abbotsford brings family-friendly activities, a marketplace, food trucks, and live entertainment. The event’s theme this year encourages attendees to bring their favourite movie moment to life. Don’t miss the fireworks finale show to finish off the evening. This year will also feature an indoor sensory-friendly zone.

Fort Langley National Historic Site Canada Day celebrates Canada’s 185th birthday with live music, dance, demonstrations, and fun activities all day (10:00am to 4:00pm) as attendees travel back in time to learn about the many cultures that helped make Canada what it is today.

Harrison Hot Springs Canada Day is an all-day event (8:30am to 10:15pm) featuring a pancake breakfast, pet parade and main parade, yacht club sail past, live entertainment, a waterfront fireworks show, and more.

Canada Day in Chilliwack is a family-friendly event at Exhibition Field with entertainment, family activities, and food trucks. The day ends with a Canada Day Drone Show. Chilliwack is also offering toonie swims, a pancake breakfast, and a Canada Day open house at the Chilliwack Museum
