Freedom Mobile Arch Opening Night Celebration
Before the FIFA Fan Festival, before the PNE Fair, the Freedom Mobile Arch hosts an inaugural Opening Night Celebration hosted by Canadian music legend Jann Arden on Friday, June 5, 2026.

The Freedom Mobile Arch, whose marquee feature is North America’s largest clear-span wood roof, is a spectacular tribute to the rich history of Canadian building design, products and technology.
The Opening Night Celebration will be a variety show that is a distinctly live Canadian experience, spotlighting BC’s homegrown talent alongside marquee names. The evening will feature over 200 performers and is designed to reflect the creative spirit of our province, and of the shared history of the PNE and the role it has played in the collective memories of our province.
The 90-minute event will blend a meaningful Indigenous cultural welcome, music, dance, comedy and storytelling into a celebration of our rich cultural past. Guests to this event will also have the first public opportunity to view the significant and important pieces of Indigenous art that anchor the venue.
Special performance and hosted by one of Canada’s most beloved artists and storytellers, Jann Arden, other performers include: International Recording Artists, Tyson Venegas; world-renowned opera singer Spencer Britton; Bobby Bruce’s Nearly Neil and the Solitary Band, as well surprise musical artists, dignitaries and special guests.
