Burnaby Blooms Spring Celebration
Burnaby’s favourite springtime celebration, Burnaby Blooms, returns on May 4th. Enjoy entertainment, roving performers, eco-artist meet and greets, family activities, free talks and tours, plant sales, community groups, food trucks and more.

The event promotes the long-term sustainability and the ecological health of our community in a fun and creative environment. Be inspired by stunning art displays made of flowers, plants and natural materials while enjoying the beauty of Deer Lake Park.
Burnaby Blooms Activities & Tours
Workshops and hands-on activities include: Help Plant a Flower Wall; Free Children’s Face Painting; Drop in Drawing in the Garden (weather permitting); Flamboyant Flowers & Figure Drawing; Create a Tiny Terrarium; Tatakazomi: Floral Printed Fabric; Plant a Spring Flower; Colour Diffusing Paper Activity; Nature Scavenger Hunt; Create a Floral Mask/Paint a Garden Stake; and more!
There are three tours in the afternoon including The Birds of Deer Lake at 11:00am and at 1:00pm. Join a 3.5 km morning walk at Deer Lake park to observe migrating, nesting and singing birds. All ages welcome. Bring binoculars. There’s also a Blossom, Bugs and Birds family tour at 11:30am.
