Proceeds from this fundraiser go towards Dan’s Legacy programs which include counselling and life-skills programs for youth with trauma-based mental health and addictions issues.
This evening not only focuses on the amazing work of Dan’s Legacy, it also promotes sustainability in a very creative (and delicious) way. Chefs TJ Conwi and Bruce Nollert (Ono Vancouver), Chef Shay Kelly (The Caterer), Chef Andrew George (Indigenous Red Seal Chef/Program Director Okanagan College) and others will present signature dishes made entirely from recovered (surplus) food.
CBC Radio Host and filmmaker Angela Sterritt will return as MC for this memorable evening that will feature reception style appetizers and a plated dinner. Bid on the silent auction, enjoy some great food, and hear inspirational stories.
Sponsorship opportunities are still available! Contact Amy at amy[at]danslegacy.com for info. Join CN Rail (Silver Sponsor), Rick’s Heart Foundation (Table Sponsor), and Nootka Marine Adventures (Live Auction) in supporting this event.
About Dan’s Legacy
Dan’s Legacy’s harm prevention programs put the focus upstream by diverting youth from entrenched addiction and possible gang association. This pro-active approach gets ahead of the problem before it happens, and saves our community – your friends, family, employees, customers and suppliers – millions of dollars in costs these issues place on health care, the justice system, first responders and policing. In the past four years, Dan’s Legacy has helped over 300 youth overcome their mental health and addiction challenges and lead productive and fulfilling lives.
