Vancouver Christmas Tree at Robson Square
byThere’s a bit of a holiday shuffle going on around Vancouver, with the Vancouver Christmas Market moving to Jack Poole Plaza and a new Christmas Light Maze in False Creek. Now the iconic 50 ft. Christmas Tree will find a home at Robson Square this season, with a free lighting ceremony and family event at the beginning of December.
Vancouver Christmas Tree at Robson Square
What: Vancouver Christmas Tree Lighting
Where: Robson Square, Downtown Vancouver (800 block Robson St)
When: Friday, December 2, 2016 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm
Back for its 10th year, the Vancouver Christmas Tree Lighting was founded by Amacon as a way to give back to the Vancouver community. Join the festivities at Robson Square for this free public event and enjoy a holiday concert, photos with Santa, holiday crafts, free hot chocolate and cookies, the lighting of the 50 ft. Christmas tree and more!
Complimentary hot chocolate and cookies supplied by event partners Loden Hotel, Tableau Bar Bistro and Homer St. Cafe and Bar. Food trucks on site for the lighting event include Mom’s Grilled Cheese, Reel Mac and Cheese, and Big Dogs Burger Bus.
Buy-A-Bulb
Bulbs can be purchased 5 for $5, 15 for $10 or any other amount desired and all proceeds go directly to the Vancouver International Children’s Festival. Each bulb purchased not only helps light the tree, but helps send a deserving child to next year’s Vancouver International Children’s Festival.
