West End Fest 2010
byThe first annual West End Fest takes over the West End Community Centre September 10th. This event will combine family fun (bouncy castle included) as well as a beer garden and live music stage. The best part is, it’s also a fundraiser for Canuck Place Children’s Hospice.
The line up so far includes:
6:00pm – 6:45pm
Music With Marnie (Children’s Entertainer)
7:15pm – 8:00pm
Banned In Boston (Folk Music)
8:30pm – 10:00pm
The Hairfarmers (Huge Repertoire of Everything for Everyone)
The Dover Arms will be sponsoring the beer garden as well as preparing food. There will also be an arts & crafts zone and drop-in street hockey games. Activities will be both inside and outside the community centre so lawn chairs and blankets are encouraged for outside on the lawn.
The event is free for everyone but of course you will have to be 19+ for beer garden admission. The West End Community Centre is located at 870 Denman (between Haro and Barclay).
