WESTCOAST Sightseeing has launched a new west coast tour experience aboard electrically powered, 12 passenger boats hosting unique and intimate tours of Vancouver’s spectacular Coal Harbour, Stanley Park and Canada Place. Electric Harbour Tours has opened with two boats: Elektra One and Elektra Two, with two more boats slated for delivery by summer.
Electric Harbour Tours in Coal Harbour
Departing from just west of the Westin Bayshore on Coal Harbour, the 45-minute, narrated tours dive deep into Vancouver’s history, sharing facts about architecture, landmarks and Indigenous history.
The electric vessels are ultra-quiet and will sail past Coal Harbour, Stanley Park and the Port of Vancouver providing passengers with stunning views of the North Shore mountains and Vancouver city skyline and amazing front row seats to watch landing and departing seaplanes, cruise ships and resident seals, herons and other wildlife.
The new boats are 100% electric with lead-acid batteries holding a 10-hour charge and will receive a boost charge while docked. The luxuriously appointed boats were manufactured by Duffy Boats in California who have specialized in electric boats for over 40 years. Duffy Boats are used world-wide and are the vessel of choice for the environmentally stringent California Fish and Game Department for the exploration of sensitive marine habitats.
Win a Tour
I have a 4 pack of tickets to offer up to one lucky Miss604 reader to enjoy Electric Harbour Tours, here’s how you can enter to win:

Situated between Swan Lake, Kalamalka Lake, and Okanagan Lake, there’s a reason that Vernon is known for its water recreation. However, with new bike lanes, paths, and the legendary Rail Trail making tracks through the northern Okanagan city, it’s also become a great place to go for a ride.
Between shopping and patio dining on Main Street (30th Ave), and hammock hangouts at Kalavida Surf Shop, I researched this article about biking in Vernon for ZenSeekers that has all you need to know, including where to rent a bike. Once you have that info, check out these Top 3 Places to Cycle in Vernon:
The City of Vernon has a network of gravel, paved, multi-use, and separated/dedicated bike lanes. Some of the best routes are in the Downtown Shopping Core, along 29th Street, 30th Street, 30th Ave, 32nd Ave, and 39th Ave. From Polson Park, there is also a great roadside route that will take you right to the north end of Kalamalka Lake, along Kalamalka Lake Road. You’ll meet up with the folks at the Rail Trail Cafe and Kalavida Surf Shop, at the base of the Rail Trail.
The Rail Trail is the northern part of the 50km path called the Okanagan Rail Trail, that reaches all the way down to Oliver along an old CPR railway corridor. Through Lake Country, Kelowna, Summerland, and Oliver, that will be fully linked by the end of the summer.
Pedal Predator Ridge
Rent from: Predator Ridge (301 Village Centre Place, Vernon)
Looking for an awesome resort getaway, perhaps with some gourmet dining, golf, spa facilities, shops, and epic valley views? World-reknowned Predator Ridge just opened up their own network of bike trails that reach down to Ellison Provincial Park at the north end of Okanagan Lake.
