Earlier this week I shared the good news that Keurig K-Cup pods are now recyclable in the City of Vancouver. On top of that, all Keurig K-Cup pods sold in Canada will be recyclable by the end of 2018.

Recycling your K-Cup pods is as easy as 3 simple steps:

  1. Let the pod cool after brewing and peel off the foil lid (filter can remain)
  2. Compost the coffee grounds (bonus!)
  3. Recycle the #5 plastic cup alongside other recyclable containers in your recycling bin at home.

Burnaby Heights is setting up the table for this year’s Crave the Heights. From August 17-26, the Heights’ restaurants invite friends, family, and foodies to take part in a delicious neighbourhood dining showcase. Discover some of the best restaurants that Burnaby has to offer with affordable set menus, new food specials, happy hour food, and drink discounts.

Alongside the participating restaurants, local Burnaby musicians, Chloe Farrell and Gabriel Hasselbach, join Crave again this year, busking on the streets of Hastings on select evenings.

Voted Abbotsford’s favourite community event, the 108th annual Abbotsford Agrifair is set to return for another weekend of summertime fun in the country, August 3-5th at the Abbotsford Exhibition Park.
