CIVL’s 10th Annual Fraser Valley Music Awards
The 10th annual Fraser Valley Music Awards (FVMA) will be announced at the weekly Jam in Jubilee event in Abbotsford on Thursday, July 17, 2025.

Since 2016, the FVMA’s have awarded over 240 artists with more than $75,000 in cash, including $65,000 through the #DakotaLeslieMemorialFanVote—anchored since 2020 by the now-legendary $10,170 fan vote prize.

- Awards ceremony begins at 6:00pm with performances to follow at 7:00pm
- Where: Jubilee Park (2552 McCallum Rd, Abbotsford)
- Admission: Free
2025 marks not just a decade of Fraser Valley Music Awards but also a celebration of community broadcasting, DIY organization, and the power of local musicians and performers. This year’s FVMA features 14 first-time nominees, 11 artists with 5 or more nominations, and 14 artists with 2-4 prior nominations.
One winning artist will be offered the chance to play a paid set at Mission Folk Music Festival next summer. Artists who are nominated for a 2025 FVMA are eligible for the Dakota Leslie Memorial Fan Vote, where the more votes they receive, the more cash they can win.
Fan voting closes Wednesday, July 16th so make sure to cast your vote online before it’s too late!

About the Fraser Valley Music Awards
The awards are an initiative of CIVL Radio, the University of the Fraser Valley’s campus and community radio station, and were first hosted in July 2016 after a year-long grant project funded by the Community Radio Fund of Canada.
