Free Burnaby Summer Stages & Summer Cinema
Enjoy a lineup of free entertainment this July and August in Burnaby at Summer Stages in Confederation Park, and Summer Cinema at Civic Square and Confederation Park.

Free Burnaby Summer Stages
- When: Tuesdays and Wednesdays at at 11:00am, 12:15pm, 2:30pm
- New this year! Thursday Family Nights from 5:30pm to 8:30pm
- Where: Confederation Park (250 Willingdon Ave)
- The stage is by the spray park so the parking lot of Beta Ave is closest
- Admission: Free! Rain or shine
Enjoy live performances, play fun lawn games, and get hands-on with art sessions and crafts. Bring a lawn chair or blanket to sit back and enjoy the shows that include everything from Aaron Wong: Elvis Tribute Artist (July 14), Burnaby Lyric Opera (July 15), Kellie Haines Ventriloquist (July 22), Folk Fusion Trio with GinaLina (July 28), Stories on Wheels: Japanese Kamishibai Street Theatre (August 4), Will’s Jams (August 6), and many more. Free Burnaby Summer Cinema
- When: Friday and Saturday nights in August
- Where: Fridays at Civic Square (6100 Willingdon Ave) outside the library near Metropolis at Metrotown starting around 8:30pm; Saturdays at Confederation Park by the track starting around 8:15pm.
- Admission: Free! Rain or shine but that might changed based on extreme weather events.
Bring a blanket or chair, some movie snacks and enjoy the show. At Civic Square, free underground parking is available at the Bob Prittie Metrotown Library, and there are also portable washrooms on-site. The film lineup includes:
