Canuck Place Gift of Time Raises $1.44 million
Hosted by Riaz Meghji, and an energetic live auction powered by Fred Lee, the event combined glitz and glamour with the warmth of compassion and a shared commitment to making a meaningful difference in for children and their families.

At the heart of the evening was the Gervais family’s story, shared by Canuck Place mom Krista Gervais. Her daughter, Savanna, had a joyful spirit and love for life that continue to shine through the memories of those who knew her. Through unimaginable heartbreak, the Gervais family found comfort, connection, and compassionate care through Canuck Place, helping them make the most of their precious time together.
Thanks to this generous support, more families like the Gervaises across BC and the Yukon will have access to that same care and support, not only at Canuck Place hospices, but in their homes, hospitals, and communities. Support from donors helps bring expert care to families wherever they are, allowing them to focus on what matters most: being together.
