Take Transit During FIFA World Cup in Vancouver
TransLink is rolling out three new fan experiences ahead of FIFA World Cup 2026™ Vancouver including the launch of an official TransLink-branded trip-planning app, and the release of a limited-edition Compass Soccer Mini.

Compass Soccer Mini from TransLink
The Compass Soccer Mini goes on sale at 9:00am on Saturday, June 6 at the TransLink Customer Service Centre at Waterfront Station. Only 10,000 will be available, including 8,000 Adult and 2,000 Concession. Each one comes with a $6 refundable deposit and there is a limit of two per person. The Compass Soccer Mini works just like a Compass Card, letting fans tap in at fare gates and on buses across the region.
Transit Trip Planning
TransLink has also partnered with Transit app to launch Transit as TransLink’s recommended trip-planning app ahead of the tournament. The app, which is already used by nearly 300,000 unique TransLink customers each month, will provide a more personalized transit experience with enhanced service alerts and tailored trip-planning tools. TransLink branding has also been added within Transit app.
As part of the agreement, all Metro Vancouver users will receive Transit Royale — Transit app’s premium tier. With Transit Royale, customers gain immediate access to unlimited departure schedules, additional trip planning options, custom app themes and icons. Customers will be able to use Transit app to send instant feedback to TransLink throughout their trips.

TransLink FIFA Wraps
Rounding out launch day is the TransLink Soccer SeaBus, newly wrapped in a custom FIFA World Cup 2026™-inspired design. Joining TransLink’s existing SoccerBus fleet, the Soccer SeaBus will be wrapped until the end of summer.
Take Transit During FIFA World Cup in Vancouver
These launches build on TransLink’s broader tournament-ready transit plan, which includes approximately 600 additional bus trips per day across the region.
TransLink will run a dedicated shuttle connecting the #11 FIFA Fan Festival at the PNE to the Expo and Millennium lines, and a new temporary #1 Downtown Vancouver South Circulator route running June 8 to July 12.
SkyTrain service will also run as frequently as every two minutes during peak match periods, with extra SeaBus sailings across Burrard Inlet throughout the tournament and special weekend West Coast Express trips on local match days.
Note! One of the biggest match-day disruptions that fans, visitors, and locals will need to plan around is that Stadium–Chinatown SkyTrain and Yaletown–Roundhouse Canada Line stations will not provide pedestrian access to BC Place Vancouver due to the secure event perimeter and crowd-control routing. Customers heading to matches should plan to use Main Street–Science World Station instead and walk/roll along the “Last Mile” zone to get to the stadium.
Transit riders are encouraged to plan their trip ahead of time and sign up for Transit Alerts.
