Band on a Boat Returns to False Creek During Jazz Fest
- Date: Thursday, June 25, 2026 at 6:00pm
- Location: By Canoe Bridge at Olympic Village
- Admission: Free
A False Creek Ferry will cruise beneath Canoe Bridge at Olympic Village as the beautiful sounds of Dálava fill the amphitheatre for an evening of free music. Led by vocalist/keyboardist Julia Úlehla and guitarist Aram Bajakian, the “utterly captivating” (Vancouver Sun) Dálava reimagines Czech folk melodies transcribed over 100 years ago by Úlehla’s great-grandfather, creating cinematic, haunting, and deeply expressive music.
The festival hosts a lineup of over 30 free and Pay What You Can (PWYC) shows this summer from June 19 to July 5, 2026 at venues across Vancouver and the North Shore.
