Sainam Officially Opens on June 13, 2025

  • Where: 1235 Davie Street, Vancouver
  • When: June 13th, 2025
  • Details: Sainam, a much anticipated Thai restaurant in Vancouver, is opening this weekend. Chef Angus An’s newest restaurant debuts with a Som Tum bar, non-alcoholic mocktails and a heartfelt tribute to Thailand’s Northeast region with heat and bold flavours. Guests will get the chance to experience the bold Northeastern Thai flavours of Isaan in Vancouver’s West End neighbourhood, from seven Som Tum (papaya salad) varieties, shareable dishes, to creative beverages (non-alcoholic to start) and Thai bar snacks. Walk-ins welcome.

Nemesis to Drop First Standalone “Dope” Bakehouse

  • Where: 650 Mountain Highway, Vancouver
  • When: Opening soon this summer
  • Details: This summer, Dope Bakehouse is striking out on its own with the opening of its first-ever standalone location in North Vancouver. Originally developed to complement Nemesis’s excellent coffee program, Dope Bakehouse has since earned a loyal following – and now, it’s ready for its solo debut. Examples of menu items include: Mango Coconut Rice Pudding Danish, Hochija Strawberry Danish, Bacon Smoked Cheese and Fermented Honey Croissant, Marsala Tiramisu Cruffin and the Espresso Double Chocolate Smoked Sea Salt Cookie. Dolce Amore Expanding

  • Where: 6011 Hastings Street, Burnaby
  • When: This summer, The Gelato Mafia “TGM Terrazza” soft opening on June 14th
  • Details: Husband and wife duo Giancarlo and Daniela Cusano are expanding their beloved Vancouver brand with three distinct new offerings under one roof in North Burnaby: The Gelato Mafia “TGM Terrazza”, Dolce Amore Bar & Caffetteria and the brand’s first full-service restaurant, Il Cappello Enoteca. Located at 6011 Hastings Street, the new headquarters will debut this spring with TGM Terrazza, a gelato patio and pick-up experience, followed by the launch of the caffetteria and enoteca later this summer. Banister Brings Grab-and-Go Fare to Main Street

  • Where: 3917 Main Street, Vancouver
  • When: Friday through Sunday from 10:00am to 3:00pm
  • Details: The new grab-and-go cafe with a takeout window, Banister Provisions, promises a seamless blend of quality and convenience, reminiscent of the iconic New York coffee carts, making it the perfect stop for busy mornings or laid-back afternoons. While there is no seating, Banister Provisions maximizes its space to deliver expertly crafted menu items, including freshly brewed coffee, tea, house-made pastries, bagels, sandwiches and a variety of grab-and-go drinks. Beaucoup Bakery Summer Treats

  • Details: Beaucoup Bakery is preparing for Vancouver summer with the launch of its new limited-edition seasonal collection, inspired by sister-brother co-owners Betty and Jacky Hung’s favourite childhood treats. Available now until June 29th at both its Fir Street and Dunsmuir Street locations, the Summer Treats lineup highlights local berries and playful textures, reimagined through Beaucoup’s signature French technique. Options include:
    • Blushing Coco (a creamy drink featuring layers of sweet red bean, coconut milk and housemade strawberry purée), Blooming Strawberry (butter pastry with jasmine-scented frangipane, vanilla pastry cream and topped with fresh local strawberries), Cookie Cinnamon Bun (Beaucoup’s signature Valrhona chocolate chip cookie baked right into a cinnamon bun), Yuzu Sesame Mochi Cookie (this cookie features sesame, citrusy yuzu chocolate and a buttery mochi centre) or the Roasted Corn XL Egg Tart (this tart features a popcorn-infused custard and roasted corn in a croissant shell).

Davie Village’s Barra Gitano New Summer Menu

  • Where: 1202 Davie Street, Vancouver
  • When: Now Available, open daily at 4:00pm
  • Details: Offering seating in their cozy dining room and sun-soaked outdoor patio, Barra Gitano brings summer vibes into full focus with a menu of Mexican-and Latin-influenced small plates, entrées, tacos and handcrafted drinks available daily. Barra Gitano’s Happy Hour menu — available 4:00pm – 6:00pm and 9:00pm to close, as well as all-day and all-night on Thursdays. Highlights include; Beef Brisket Quesabirrias, Pork Belly, Ribeye Campechano and Fish Tacos and Bebidas that include 2oz Gitano Margaritas, Cantaritos, Sangria and many others. Walk-ins welcome.

Mon Paris Pâtisserie French Pastries In June

  • When: Now Available, weekends only 9:00am to 6:00pm
  • Details: Available for in-store pickup, Mon Paris’ Chef/Owner Elena Krasnova is treating visitors to an authentic tour of traditional French pastries via an exclusive showcase of some of the country’s most beloved creations during a weekends-only Summer Series. Pastries are available throughout the month of June. June 14-15th focuses on the Mille-Feuille — in French, ‘a thousand sheets’ — with Krasnova’s rendition incorporating flaky puff pastry, alternating layers of vanilla custard cream and tangy raspberry jelly. New options will rotate throughout every weekend.

  • When: Now available, Open Monday – Friday 11:30am until late and weekends 11:00am until late
  • Details: The well-known Banter Room in Yaletown has an entirely revamped and exciting menu for summer. New features include indulgent share plates like Ahi Tuna Tataki, Burrata & Tapenade and The Med Spread (a dipablede plate that includes roasted beet hummus, tzatziki, a vibrant tabouli and grilled pita). Mains include a flaky Pistachio-Crusted Salmon, Gnocchi Romesco and the Steak Platter – which features a selection of 24 oz stripling steak, creamy mac and cheese, lemon parmesan potatoes and more.   • Details: Desi Indian Lounge invites you on a five-course tour of India with its new Tasting Menu, now available at their Downtown Vancouver location. Created by Executive Chef Bal Ajagaonkar, this $45/person experience highlights India’s rich regional cuisines with dishes like Parsnip & Achappam Chaat, Chukandar Croquettes, Malvani Murgh, Karwari Prawns and a sweet finale of Chikoo Panna Cotta.   • Details: Downtown Vancouver’s AZUR Legacy Hotel hotspot, Dahlia Restaurant and Cocktail Bar, has an elevated new menu crafted by Executive Chef Daniel Kenney. Nestled in the hotel’s Lobby Lounge the dining experience draws inspiration from the coasts of the French Riviera and Italian coastline. Highlights include – Spring Salmon Tartare with dill and salmon roe, Hand-made Black Truffle Tortellini in a rich four-cheese sauce, Branzino with tomato olive ragu and Short Rib Cavatelli. There is also the ‘déjeuner express’ selection, which offers refined mid-day bites without the wait.

  • When: For the month of June only
  • Details: This June, Loam Bistro is serving up two indulgent new brunch features. First up: the Lobster & Tarragon Benny, starring butter-poached Atlantic lobster on a toasted brioche round, topped with soft-poached eggs and a velvety tarragon hollandaise. The second option, the BBQ Pork Shoulder Benny delivers slow-cooked, tender pork paired perfectly with the same accompaniments. Both dishes are served with a crisp shaved asparagus and fennel salad. Available for a limited time only.

Fairmont Summer Special Events

  • Fairmont Waterfront Garden Series Returns: – Fairmont Waterfront is excited to announce the return of its Garden Dinner Series – a highly anticipated rooftop dining experience that celebrates seasonal cuisine, premium B.C. wine pairings, and live local music, all set against the backdrop of Vancouver’s harbour and North Shore Mountains. Launching June 19th, with additional evenings on July 24th and August 21st, each garden dinner offers a thoughtfully curated multi-course and locally inspired menu from Executive Chef Harris Sakalis.   • Fairmont Hotel Vancouver ‘Summer Swing’ – A Night of Vintage Glamour, Gourmet Dining and Timeless Music: On Friday, June 20th, Fairmont Hotel Vancouver proudly presents Summer Swing, a one-night-only celebration of vintage elegance, live jazz and refined dining, all set in the hotel’s iconic 15th floor venue, The Roof. This elegant evening is a tribute to a golden chapter in Vancouver’s cultural history – when the Panorama Roof was the epicentre of nightlife from 1940 to 1965.

6th and Main Block Party with Cream Pony pop-up

  • Where: 200 Blk East 6th Avenue, Vancouver
  • When: Sunday, June 22nd from 12:00pm – 5:00pm
  • Details: Known for their handmade donuts and southern fried chicken, North Vancouver’s Cream Pony is moving into the old Cartems Donuts space at 2190 Main Street.
