New Openings
Mon Paris Pâtisserie to Open Second Location in Olympic Village
- Where: 1731 Manitoba Street, Vancouver
- When: This spring, date TBD
- Details: Chef and owner Elena Krasnova opened the doors to her first Mon Paris Pâtisserie location in Burnaby in 2017 and is now expanding into Vancouver with her new location in the heart of Olympic Village. Known best for its award-winning takes on classic cakes, chocolates, pastries and confections, Mon Paris Olympic Village will feature the same tasty treats alongside new menu items, including Parisian baguette sandwiches and other lunch items. An exact opening date has yet to be announced, but guests can expect their delicacies this spring. Follow along on their journey.

Miku to Open New Location in Richmond This Summer
- Where: River Rock Casino Resort, 8811 River Road, Richmond
- When: Coming this summer, date TBD
- Details: Aburi Restaurants Canada and River Rock Casino Resort have announced the newest Miku location is set to debut this summer at River Rock Casino Resort. Known for its award-winning contemporary Japanese cuisine, Miku Richmond will offer an elevated dining experience in a new waterfront location. They are known for their Aburi Oshi Sushi in Canada (pictured above) and will continue to focus on the upscale dining experience in a new location. Miku will be joining the resort alongside the newly launched Gordon Ramsay Steak restaurant at River Rock Casino as part of the other additions.

Bite of Burnaby Returns in March 2025
- Where: Over 65 restaurants across Burnaby
- When: March 1st – 31st
- Details: Bite of Burnaby returned on the first of March, their largest ever, with an expanded lineup of set-course menus, immersive dining events and hands-on culinary experiences. What began as a celebration of local restaurants has grown into a premier dining festival, showcasing the city’s rich culinary diversity. With more than 65 restaurants offering exclusive prix-fixe menus and special deals, this month-long festival is a must for food lovers looking to explore Burnaby’s evolving food scene. This event is a great option for those looking for a wide variety of options for every palette and price point. Check out the full lineup.
11th Annual Curry Cup is Back
- Where: Participating restaurants across the Vancouver metro area
- When: March 24th, 6:00-9:00pm
- Details: Hosted by the Chefs’ Table Society of BC in collaboration with the Mount Pleasant Business Improvement Association (MPBIA), this fun event will take place on Monday, March 24th, celebrating the rich diversity of curry while supporting a great cause. Ten of BC’s talented chefs will go head-to-head in a battle of spices, creativity, and skill – each crafting their own unique take on the globally beloved dish. A panel of judges, along with attendees, will sample and vote for their favourite creation then crown the 2025 Curry Cup Champion and People’s Choice. Tickets are $87.21 per person.
Taste of the Tri-Cities Until March 10th
- Where: Port Moody, Coquitlam and Port Coquitlam
- When: Now Available
- Details: Port Moody, Coquitlam and Port Coquitlam invite you to savour local culinary culture and delicious dishes with the annual Taste of the Tri-Cities now happening until March 10th. This festival of food and drink is designed to highlight amazing restaurants, eateries, pubs, breweries, distilleries and cafes.

Vancouver Cherry Blossom Festival 2025
- Where: Various Locations Throughout Metro Vancouver (Vancouver, Richmond, Burnaby)
- When: March 14th to April 27, 2025
- Details: With over 20 participating Metro Vancouver vendors, Festival-goers will be able to enjoy limited-time Spring and cherry blossom-themed creations. Take the self-guided tour of participating restaurants to try a new spot, or an old favourite while supporting local businesses this spring. Each vendor will offer themed items for the festival including a sweet potato mochi croissant from Beaucoup Bakery, sakura strawberry parfait from Nana’s Green Tea, caramel matcha maestro from Sunny M Specialty Coffee & Tea and many more from participating locations/vendors.

Five Sails Cherry Blossom Afternoon Tea

- When: Now Available, only on Saturdays and Sundays 11:30am – 3:30pm
- Details: Celebrate the season with an unforgettable afternoon tea. Immerse yourself in a festive atmosphere as Five Sails blends traditional flavours with refined culinary artistry. Ramadan Fest in Surrey

- When: March 5-9th
- Details: All are welcome to visit Ramadan Fest in Surrey March 5-9th at the Cloverdale Fairgrounds. Running nightly between 4:00pm and 3:00am, it’s the region’s latest festival! Enjoy five nights of dazzling lights, over 120 vendors and over 20 food stalls serving global flavours and delicious Halal food. Tickets: $6.64 available online now.

- Details: Cooking Demonstration at CelticFest with Chef Donal Hughes is March 14th @ 10:00 am – 12:45 pm at This World’s Ours Centre 191 E 10th Avenue, Vancouver. H Tasting Lounge Unveils ‘Around the World in 80 Days’ Afternoon Tea & The Secret Garden

- Around the World in 80 Days: Weekends at H Tasting Lounge are paying tribute to Jules Verne’s Around the World in 80 Days, following in the footsteps of the legendary Phileas Fogg. The goal is to create a custom travel experience through the flavours of tea and a selection of sweet and savoury treats. $75 per adult; $50 per child; prepaid for parties of 1 to 6. - The Secret Garden has been crafted around the H Tasting Lounge’s signature domes, with a whimsical, fairy-like take. The Sandbar Dinner
- Where: 1535 Johnston St., #35, Vancouver
- When: Wednesday, March 26th
- Details: On Wednesday, March 26th, The Sandbar is hosting an exclusive five-course sake dinner curated by Sushi Chef Tsutomu Hoshi, paired with premium sake selections guided by Patrick Ellis. This special evening will showcase a menu that blends traditional Japanese flavors with fresh West Coast ingredients, featuring dishes such as Sockeye Salmon Oshi Sushi, Butter Poached Lobster and Braised “Char Sui” Shortrib, each complemented by exceptional sake. Italian Kitchen
- Where: 860 Burrard Street, Vancouver
- When: March 10th to April 10th
- Details: Italian Kitchen will be launching a special feature menu taking guests on a culinary journey through the Veneto region of Italy. The menu, titled “Veneto A Morsi,” explores the rich traditions of Northeast Italy, starting with Housemade Candele with Whole Duck Ragu ($34), a dish inspired by Chef Matteo’s native region. Or, indulge in their Raviolone all’uovo con Baccala’ Mantecato e Asparagi Bianchi ($35), featuring handmade egg yolk ravioli filled with slow-cooked salted cod, accompanied by a white asparagus cream and chanterelle mushroom ragu. BC Kitchen Southern Friday Nights
- Where: JW Marriott Parq, 39 Smithe Street, Vancouver
- When: Now available on Friday evenings
- Details: BC Kitchen is bringing Southern charm to Friday nights with their Southern Hospitality Fridays. For just $21.95, guests can enjoy a delicious Fried Chicken Dinner featuring crispy buttermilk fried chicken, mashed potatoes, corn on the cob, gravy and honey chive cornbread. Coast Restaurant Lobster Night
- Where: 1054 Alberni Street, Vancouver
- When: Now available on Sunday and Monday evenings
- Details: Guests can now enjoy a three-course menu for $65, featuring a choice of one appetizer, one entrée and a decadent dessert. Appetizer options include Crispy Lobster & Prawn Roll, Lobster Bisque and Lobster Louie.
