Details: Gateway Theatre is so excited to welcome back viewers for all of your favorite Broadway holiday classics; such as, “Let it Snow”, “Sleigh Ride” and “White Christmas”. A digital video on-demand stream is also available for remote viewers. It is recommended to purchase tickets early, as in-person seating will be limited. Dolly Parton’s Smoky Mountain Christmas Carol
Based on A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens
Date: November 18, 2021–January 2, 2022
Location: Stanley Industrial Alliance Stage (2750 Granville St, Vancouver)
Details: A family-friendly classic like A Christmas Carol joined with Dolly Parton’s one-of-a-kind songwriting makes this musical a must-see this season. The musical is set during the 1930s in a East Tennessee mining town, where Ebenezer Scrooge is challenged to see his life and business in a new light on Christmas Eve. Plan ahead for one twenty minute intermission. Running time: TBA.
Massey Theatre

Details: Join the Richmond Dance for their twenty-second annual Christmas Concert, “Dance Into Christmas 2021”. This concert combines talented vocalists, dancers, choreographers and holiday spirit into one production. Guest Artists from Les Grands Ballets Canadiens will also be featured to perform the “Nutcracker Pas de Deux”.

Details: The Vancouver Symphony Orchestra (“VSO”) holiday tradition returns with classic singing and storytelling. This December, join conductor Karl Hirzer and host Christopher Gaze for a night at the orchestra.

Details: Join the WONDERHEADS for a kid-friendly (ages seven and up) evening at the theatre. Equally whimsical, festive and spooky – this take on A Christmas Carol is sure to be a family favorite. Running time: seventy minutes, no intermission.

Details: Royal City Youth Ballet is proud to present the Nutcracker this year. It is a full length, two-act classical ballet with a score by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky and danced by the Royal City Youth Ballet.
Firehall Arts Centre

Details: The Firehall’s Solstice Greetings returns for a fourth year from December 16-18 to share stories, poems, and songs created by the Grade 6 and 7 students from Lord Strathcona Elementary School in celebration of the holiday season. Ticket info TBA.

East Van Panto: Alice in Wonderland

Details: Follow Alice’s journey onto the Skytrain with a White Rabbit, down a hole only to find herself in a Grandview-Woodlands Wonderland.
