BC Culture Days

Try something new! The Tri-Cities Culture Days weekend presents a unique interactive opportunity that invites the public to roll up their sleeves as they are welcomed to enter the behind-the-scenes world of artists, creators and historians. The events are fun, creative, family-friendly and free!

In celebration of its 10th anniversary, BC Culture Days has selected 10 emerging artists from across the province to act as cultural ambassadors in their respective communities, encouraging participation and presenting innovative activities across a broad spectrum of disciplines — including painting, animation, carving, poetry, theatre, and dance — as part of the weekend festivities.

The ultimate goal of Culture Days is to make arts, culture and heritage a part of every Canadian’s life, whether by creating, enjoying, supporting or sharing.

The following guide is the result of the collaborative efforts of the Coquitlam Heritage Society, Coquitlam Public Library, Evergreen Cultural Centre, Place des Arts, PoCo Heritage, Port Moody Arts Centre, and Port Moody Heritage Society with the support of the cities of Coquitlam, Port Coquitlam and Port Moody:

Enter the behind-the-scenes world of artists, creators and historians in the Tri-Cities during Culture Days. The events are fun, creative, family-friendly and free! Coquitlam‘s three days of culture include film, the farmers market, a community quilt, and a music tour. In Port Coquitlam, you can check out reading, print-making, nature art, and Craftapalooza. Port Moody’s activities include poetry, a radio workshop, and more.

Miss604 is proud to be the local partner of the Tri-Cities Culture Days weekend. I’ll be highlighting each city’s official event lineup in the coming weeks.
