The first thought that popped into my head when I walked into La-Z-Boy Furniture Galleries in Coquitlam was: “Well these sure aren’t your grandfather’s La-Z-Boy recliners!” It was in this bright and colourful gallery, with modern textures, patterns and layouts friendly to the urban condo-dweller, that I met owner Gerald Miller who showed me around and introduced me to their new Urban Attitudes collection.

La-Z-Boy’s Urban Attitudes collection is “Sophisticated. Modern. Anything but ordinary.” and this locally-owned retailer can’t wait to show it off. In fact 60% of the Urban Attitudes collection is designed by David Campbell, who is originally from Scotland but calls Vancouver home. The collection’s comprehensive line includes premium-crafted sofas, chairs, and accents with clean lines, simple colour pallets and textures.
