Vancouver Christmas Market 2012: Win Tickets
byThe Vancouver Christmas Market is in full swing at the Queen Elizabeth Theatre Plaza until December 24, 2012. Styled after a traditional German Christmas market, you can find ornaments, crafts, jewelry, mulled wine, schnitzel, gingerbread, and more from a variety of vendors
Check out the Kids Market for hands-on fun and a carousel ride. Entertainment includes The XMas Factor singing competition, choirs, school bands, and more.
Admission deals include a season pass with the purchase of one regular admission, which means you pay once and you’re in free the rest of the season. They are also offering a 2-for-1 lunch admission with friends and colleagues. During the week admission is $2 between 11:00am and 4:00pm from Monday to Friday.

Hah. All the ornaments I made in school when I was a kid. Felt ornaments. Bead ornaments. Pasta angels – my favorite.
Decorate the front of your house with a giant snowman! 🙂
Mistletoe is definitely my fav decoration! It made us find alternate routes throughout the house as kids to avoid it and later to scheme up ways to trick people to stand under it!

Fav ornaments are the ones w stories or memories attached…passed down from family or the ones made in elementary school.
We have boxes and boxes of family ornaments – they are all my favourites! things I made as a child, things my kids made as children, now my granddaughter is adding to it! The beautiful ornaments my late sister would give us every year. My mothers’ ornaments from the 40’s and 50s’. Our tree is full to the brim every year and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

My favorite ornament is a glass ball I gave to my Mom. She passed away a few years ago, so this ornament is very special to me. It hangs on my tree every year in her memory.

I love, love, love going out to Squamish and cutting down our own tree! And then decorating with the ornaments I’ve had since I wass a little girl.
My favourite holiday decoration is this shriveled and almost mummified orange covered with cloves. My mom had it when I was a child, as long as I can remember, and she still has it! It smells like Christmas too me.

I love the handcrafted ornaments that we’ve purchased over the years at Christmas markets. I get a warm fuzzy feeling inside when I hang our ‘1st Christmas together’ (with my wife) and the ‘1st family Xmas’ (wife and our ‘fur’ babies) ornaments!

I’ve always been out of town on previous December so I’ve been missing this event. Hope to check this out and free ticket would be a definite bonus 🙂
