National Wear it Pink Day 2010
byNational Wear it Pink Day in Canada is May 27th, 2010. The Weekend to End Women’s Cancers (formerly known as the Weekend to End Breast Cancer) started the campaign in order to raise awareness for their upcoming event this summer, benefiting BC Cancer Foundation.
One in seven women will be diagnosed with breast or gynecologic cancers in their lifetime
The campaign joined forces to fight all women’s cancers and this will be the first year under the new banner title. Women’s cancers include Breast, Ovarian, Cervical Cancer, Uterine, Vaginal, and Vulvar. The Shoppers Drug Mart Weekend to End Women’s Cancers will take place August 14-15, 2010 and will travel throughout Vancouver along with other major cities across the country.
Registration is now open and you can show your support early by wearing pink on May 27th.

“Weekend to End Women’s Cancers”? Men get cancer too…
Should be weekend to end cancer. Then again let’s just find one and then we are all good with it 🙂
There are men-specific fundraisers as well such as Movember and the Father’s Run for Prostate Cancer.
There are walks/runs that help raise awareness and funds for hundreds of causes around the province – each is valid.
