On Saturday May 8th at 8:00pm the Wailin’ Jennys and Jeremy Fisher will take the stage at the Chan Centre at UBC.

Wailin’ Jennys
This trio of singers/songwriters took home their first Juno Award in 2005 for Roots and Traditional Album of the Year (Group). Their 2009 album Live at the Mauch Chuck Opera House is currently available and has reached #3 on the US Bluegrass charts. You can follow them on Twitter @TheWailinJennys.

Jeremy Fisher
This upbeat, 1960s influenced rocker went from busking on street corners to touring across Canada. He’s played with everyone from Craig Northey to The Proclaimers and is known for his budget $60 homemade video for Cigarettes that has brought in over 2 million views on YouTube.

Tickets for the show are $35 and available through Ticketmaster. If you would like to attend, I have two tickets to give away through this site. To enter to win, please leave a comment on this post or include the following in a Twitter update (copy/paste):

I entered to win tickets to Wailin’ Jennys and Jeremy Fisher from @Miss604 http://is.gd/bjwNK

The draw will take place at 12:00pm 9:00am, April 23, 2010.

Update I won’t be in the office at 12:00pm today so I bumped the contest to 9:00am and drew a winner at random. That person is… Cameron (comment entry). Congratulations!
