Surrey Canada Day 2008: Morning Recap
byWe spent the early afternoon walking around the site of Surrey’s Canada Day celebrations.
There’s so much to see between the temporary maple leaf tattoos, stilt walking and gold panning, and that’s not even covering the midway or any of the two concert stages. Here’s the day in photos so far, captured by John.
You can view more photos in my Flickr set. We’re heading back on site now (after this quick pit stop to upload and blog) so we’ll have more coverage of the evening’s concerts later on.

Nice blog; I linked you to my site. I miss Langley !! And hey for the record- CLOVERDALE and WHITE ROCK are only REALLY part of Surrey by postal code. They’re still CLOVERDALE and WHITE ROCK !!!!!! Let’s face it- the Surrey that has the rep is in and around Newton… =)
Did you get me a temporary tatoo with the Canada flag? Pretty please? 🙂
Actually, Cloverdale is a part of Surrey – it’s a neighbourhood or region much like the West End or Kits are a part of Vancouver. White Rock on the other hand is not a part of Surrey by any means although many confuse parts of South Surrey with White Rock (or just prefer to call it that :-P)
Looks like a super fun Canada Day in Surrey! Great photos!! 🙂
