Grouse Mountain’s iconic 24 Hours of Winter returns this weekend as part of its ongoing centennial celebrations. From Saturday, February 28 through Sunday, March 1, The Peak of Vancouver will be a 24-hour alpine playground for the first time since 2019.

Metro Vancouver Regional Parks has announced that the Grouse Grind is now open, which is months ahead of schedule. Each year, the popular trail closes for the winter season and for the past few years it has reopened mid-April.

Grouse Mountain will be opening for its skiing/riding season at noon on Friday, December 19, 2025. The mountain will be celebrating its centennial season in 2026.

There is a new way to get up to the Peak of Vancouver with the Blue Grouse Gondola that officially launched last night.
