Following a two-year hiatus, Rockin River Music Fest is back this summer and Live Nation Canada has announced the 2022 lineup this morning. The highly anticipated festival will once again be held in Merritt, BC – the country music capital of Canada – from July 28-31 and will feature some of country music’s biggest names.
“I can’t begin to explain how happy I am to see the return of the Rockin River Music Festival,” said Merritt Mayor Linda Brown. “This has been an unquestionably challenging couple of years for the City of Merritt, culminating with the November 2021 flood. Now more than ever, we need things to be excited about. We need things to look forward to, that make us feel vibrant and remind us that life can and will be good again, even if times are hard right now. We are thrilled to be a small part in bringing the sounds of Rockin River back to the Nicola Valley!”
Three-time Grammy Award winning superstar Tim McGraw will mark his return to the Rockin River stage after playing in Merritt 17 years ago. Multi-platinum hit-making singer and songwriter Darius Rucker will also head this year’s stellar lineup. The two will be joined by one of country’s most energetic performers Chris Janson, chart topping star Billy Currington, critically acclaimed singer/songwriter HARDY and more.
The annual festival brings music fans from far and wide together for an unforgettable experience filled with incomparable views, games, food and world class talent. Music fans and festival lovers can look forward to a weekend for the books. Visit the website for the full Merritt Rockin River Fest lineup, and more.

It’s Social Work Week in British Columbia
Social workers make a real difference in the lives of people, families, and communities across the country. The provincial government has declared March 13-19, 2022, Social Work Week in British Columbia. The theme for 2022 is In Critical Demand – Social Work is Essential. Every young person who accesses Covenant House Vancouver has the opportunity to receive one-to-one support from a Registered Social Worker to help them achieve their goals.
What’s the difference between a Youth Worker, a Social Worker, and a Registered Clinical Counsellor?
At Covenant House Vancouver, they use a holistic and integrated approach to supporting youth to overcome the challenges of homelessness. This means that behind every young person, there’s a team of people that work together to help them achieve the goals they want to achieve in a way that works best for them. Youth Workers, Social Workers, and Registered Clinical Counsellors are three such roles that do the vital work of providing such relentless support for youth in need.
