BC Travel Tuesday, with a Whistler spin, continues this week as I partner with backyardbc.com to help British Columbians get out and explore their home province.

Close to restaurants, the slopes, and the famous Southside Diner, there’s no shortage of things to do.     I used @backyardbc to book a weekend at Creekside in Sept of 2011. We stayed at the Lodging Ovation’s hotel – not Evolution, but the sister one there…the name escapes me at the moment! Excellent hotel & Creekside is such a relaxed, low-key option to choose, instead of Whistler Village. I’d love to stay there again.

    I love love love Whistler it is one of the best mountains to ski at, especially because the weather conditions are almost always great! The green trails are so easy for new skiers and snowboarders and the blue runs offer a bit more of a challenge. Since it is a 2 hour drive for most, staying there overnight is the best way to enjoy your visit!
    I have fond memories as a teenager taking the big greyhound bus up for school trips!
