Video Games Live in Vancouver
Video Games Live is coming to Vancouver for two performances next week presenting music from popular video games with choir performers, orchestras, exclusive video footage, and live action.
The world’s biggest video game concert (that set a Guinness World Record in 2008 for most video game performances in a single year) will be at the Centre for Performing Arts April 13th and 14th. This is the first stop on their Canadian tour and tickets are still available.
If you would like to attend, I have 3 pairs of tickets to give away to each of Wednesday and Thursday’s shows. Here’s how you can enter to win:

I’ve been wanting to go for years!
Some of my favourite video-games are: Final Fantasy Series (VI, X, XI, VII particular), Chrono Trigger, Uncharted, Sims and more…
I’d love to tell you my favourite video game but it’s damn near impossible! I’ve got all 3 major consoles (Wii, 360, PS#) and I’ve owned all their predecessors. I have well over 100 games in my library and have what could be called a sickening compulsion to own more… haha. I guess if I attempted to name a favourite it would have to be Mass Effect 2 just because of the engrossing story line and the advancements from the previous version which was a masterpiece in it’s own right.
Has to be Legend of Zelda. I loved every incarnation of that game.

Super Mario Brothers
Favourite video game? It’s a tough one, but I have to go with the classic Final Fantasy VII. The storyline is phenomenal, and the music is utterly fantastic – I still listen to it from time to time! This game has definitely inspired me in my art more than once 🙂

Nothing will ever beat Super Mario Bros. 3 for the original nintendo. How many MONTHS did I spend on that? 20+ years later and I still have the music to world 6 stuck in my head.

I think this shows my age, but I think Zork might be my favourite. Of more recent games, Civilization – any one in the series.
Favourite… hmmm… probably System Shock 2. That game showed that you could have a genuine plot in a video game – with twists, turns and suspense. Plus all the extreme levels of personalization available, the careful planning required to conserve resources… and of course blasting the hell out of countless enemies.
Tough choice..but would have to be final fantasy 7

Call of Duty!
Definitely Final Fantasy 4. I try to play it through every few years, and know all the music and plot lines by heart.
Every time someone asks this question it always stumps me as there are so many to choose from across all genres and consoles. But if I had to choose one specific one it would probably have to be The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time.
The Final Fantasy series and Star Ocean are one of my favorites.

If I had to pick a favorite, I’d probably have to say the Zelda series. I remember spending long nights playing Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past. Hmm, maybe I’ll go play some later today.
Streets of Rage, any of them!
If we’re talking about the music in the game, it can’t get any better than Mirror’s Edge. The music was just so fantastic, I haven’t met anybody that didn’t like it. Can’t wait for the sequel.
But if we’re talking about favorite game of all time, then that’s a tough one. I’d probably have to say either Team Fortress 2, Sonic Adventure 2, or Borderlands. I say this reluctantly however; it’s really hard to pick one (or even a few) game in particular. They’re all so good in their own ways.

I am a very longtime video game fan. currently my favourite video game is Dragon Age II as I’m playing through it and another favourite is the Mass Effect series as they both have incredible story lines. Bioware is often credited with the best storylines in gaming and, as these are both made by them, they follow their tradition. This, of course, is played on PC however I also have a Wii and an Xbox 360 with about 100 games between the both of them.

I don’t have a favourite game, but my favourite series is anything from Shin Megami Tensei. Been gaming since I was 9, so I also have a soft spot for Sonic the Hedgehog and Final Fantasy VI.
