It’s the season of giving, and for local nonprofits, it’s a time of receiving enough donations to support their missions this winter and into the new year. An engaging way to do that is through charity raffles and online silent auctions, where you can bid on some great prizes, and check some items off your shopping list, all in support of these local causes. Here are a few that we have found:

Online Auctions

Stanley Park Ecology: The Stanley Park Winter Auction is ending tonight (December 12 at 8:00pm) so hurry and get your bids in for a collection of nature-inspired gifts, artwork, and local experiences. Every bid helps protect and restore Stanley Park and supports the programs that bring people closer to nature.

Homestart Foundation: All funds raised goes to providing essential home furnishings to people in need. This auction has almost 100 items to bid on, from furniture and experiences to art and games. Bid on items until December 13 at 12:00pm.

Stock Joy: Vancouver BIAs in partnership with the City of Vancouver are hosting this fundraising auction in support of Food Stash. Bid on festive packages from Vancouver retail neighbourhoods in support of local food charities. Find the perfect gifts to give or receive, each package contains hundreds of dollars in wonderful goods and services. Bid on items until December 15, 2025.

Raffles for a Cause

Win Your Audi: In support of Sources BC, you have the chance to win early bird prizing, or the grand prize of a Audi Q3 40 TFSI quattro, and your ticket purchase will support programs that serve individuals of various age groups across the province who are experiencing poverty, mental health challenges, disability, conflict, isolation and addiction. Early Bird draws in December and February, grand prize draw in May, 2026.

Grizzly Bear Foundation: Enter to win a once-in-a-lifetime 4-night bear-viewing trip for two in the Great Bear Rainforest while supporting grizzly bear conservation. As part of the Grizzly Bear Foundation’s 2025 Give for Grizzlies fundraiser, the prize raffle features an all-inclusive experience at the Indigenous-owned Spirit Bear Lodge, valued at $15,000. Raffle tickets are available online now and make meaningful gifts this holiday season. Sales close December 31, 2025, at 11:59pm, with the winner drawn on January 2, 2026.

Support an Auction

The Downtown Eastside Women’s Centre is preparing for their annual Herstory Gala in March and are currently seeking auction item donations. These are items such as gift certificates, experiences, art, jewelry, and more to help us reach our $250,000 fundraising goal. Every dollar raised supports women in the Downtown Eastside through meals, safe spaces, counselling, housing outreach, and more.⁠
