Enjoy cultural workshops and witness an exciting performance at the Fire Dragon Festival in Chinatown September 19-20, 2025. Follow the dragon at night as it twists and turns to the beat of drums through historic Vancouver streets.

Vancouver’s Fire Dragon Festival in Chinatown

- Workshops: 11:00am-5:00pm; main performance 7:00pm
- Location: 578 Carrall St, Vancouver
- Admission: Free
Leading up to the big day, you can sign up for a workshop to help build the fire dragon! The next session is on September 14th at 8East (8 East Pender St, Vancouver) with limited spots available.
You can also drop-in to a variety of workshops including watercolour painting, upcycled embroidery design, make a legendary dragon puppet, fruit sticker bookmark collage, beaded dragon charm workshop and more.
On the Friday of the festival (September 19th) meet the artists in residence at 8East including Bagua Artist Association, Steven Dragonn, and Sifu Michael Tan from Chau Luen Athletics.
The main event on Saturday (September 20th) will see the Fire Dragon with its glowing embers snaking its way through the streets of Chinatown.
