Come Toward The Fire Festival of Indigenous Culture

Musqueam and the Chan Centre present the 4th annual ʔəm̓i ce:p xʷiwəl (Come Toward the Fire) Festival on September 20 and 21, 2025. Join this family-friendly weekend in celebration of Indigenous culture, creativity, and community.

Come Toward the Fire Festival 2025

  • Where: Chan Centre for the Performing Arts (6265 Crescent Rd, Vancouver)
  • Admission: Free!

Enjoy delicious eats at the Indigenous food trucks like Up the River Baking and Tradish. Shop the vibrant marketplace featuring a lineup of Indigenous artisans like Sweetgrass Soap, Buffalo Star Woman Creations, MothLatte, and more. The marketplace will also feature children’s authors, literary programming (curated by Iron Dog Books), and resource booths like the Indian Residential School History and Dialogue Centre and Native Education College. The festival also features film screenings of Indigenous cinema with titles to be announced in August.

There will also be musical and dance performances all weekend long including the Sunday finale show featuring performances by Northern Cree and Tia Wood (ticketed event). Catch performances by Caley Watts, Deerlady, Fontine, Mali Obomsawin, Jeremy Parkin, and more! Check out the lineup of performers. The full schedule will be announced in August.
