Easter Fun at Greendale Acres

Join Greendale Acres for the annual Easter Egg Hunt, scavenger hunt, pictures with the Easter Bunny, and baby animal displays. New this year is the Easter Bunny Adventure Course, filled with interactive challenges for kids aged 5-12. Soak in the beauty of the blooming flower fields and take a scenic train ride ($5 per ticket), and snap stunning photos in the new spring photo ops in the tulip gardens. The Harrison Tulip Festival has a fun lineup of special events for the season, including Easter Weekend. Take photos with the Easter Bunny and Tilly Tulip, bring your own basket for an Easter Egg Hunt, and enjoy face painting and balloon making. New additions to this year’s festival include expanded Farm Store with more tulip-inspired items than ever, several flower-themed picnic tables, and a working waterwheel crafted by local woodworkers in the secret garden all amongst the four aces of colourful spring blooms, fruit and nut trees, flowering shrubs, and grassy pathways. Spring Salmon Egg-travaganza! (Fraser River Discovery Centre, 788 Quayside Dr, New Westminster)

Visit the Fraser River Discovery Centre for a splash of fun with salmon-themed activities and games this Easter weekend. Learn all about salmon and the many challenges they face after hatching. Spring is a time for new beginnings for many animals and salmon are no exception. After spending 3 to 4 months growing inside their eggs, many species of salmon are now hatching and ready for their journey. Enjoy a storytime, conduct a water test in the Fraser River to see how water quality affects salmon, and learn some of the challenges that salmon face. Included with admission to the Fraser River Discovery Centre.

This all ages and ability run offers a 5/10km run or walk (2:00pm) as well as a 1-3km Little Bunny Run/Walk (1:00pm) at picturesque Jericho Beach Park, winding along trails surrounded by spring blooms and unbeatable views of the North Shore and Vancouver skyline.
