5X Fest in Surrey and Vancouver This Weekend
5X Fest is Canada’s leading festival for Panjabi music and South Asian creative culture with events in Vancouver and Surrey this weekend.
5X Fest in Surrey and Vancouver This Weekend

Presented by the Vancouver International Bhangra Celebration Society, the festival continues to be one of Canada’s most important platforms for diasporic Panjabi music, art, and creative expression. What began as a celebration of bhangra has evolved into a cultural force, spotlighting emerging artists, building community, and creating space for South Asian talent to be seen, heard, and taken seriously.
This year’s festival includes 5X Access, an invite-only industry gathering; the iconic 5X Art Party (at Beaumont Studios, Vancouver), rooted in the theme of Adhikar, meaning the power of claiming and reclaiming space, identity, and creative ownership; the flagship 5X Blockparty at Surrey Civic Plaza; the official 5X Afterparty; and a one-night-only 15-Year World Tour experience with globally renowned Punjabi artist Inkquisitive.
