Lights & Festive Displays
- Destination Downtown lights in Coal Harbour. From Canada Place to Cardero Park, enjoy large scale lighting installations including illuminated trees and lit animals. The Ferris Wheel is closed Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
- St Paul’s Lights of Hope in front of the historic hospital site Downtown Vancouver.
- Lights at Lafarge will be open (and free) all around Town Centre Park in Coquitlam.
- Gingerbread Lane at the Hyatt Vancouver has a display of amazing creations by talented students, amateurs, and professional bakers setup in the lobby.
- Granville Island Festive Lights for a walk around Granville Island’s almost 40 acres covered in lighted displays. The market and Net Loft will be closed.
Activities
- Robson Square Ice Rink will be open for skating on Christmas Day from 11:00am to 5:00pm.
- The Peak of Christmas at Grouse Mountain will be open for mountaintop activities include The Light Walk, skating, and more.
- Surrey Skate Plaza by City Hall/Central City will be open for free skating from 1:00pm to 4:00pm. Skate rentals are available for a fee.
Attractions
- Holiday Splash at the Vancouver Aquarium will be open from 10:00am to 4:00pm.
There are several restaurants offering holiday meals, including H Tasting Lounge at the Westin Bayshore, Notch 8 at the Fairmont Hotel Vancouver, brunch at Pinnacle Hotel, and more.
